Week 7 at the Quarry

Post by MikeY »

Game 1: Mermen at The Commission
Mermen take a quick 1-0 lead on three singles and an error. The Commission get a 2-run HR from Rob Lyons as part of their 4 run 1st inning. They'd add 3 more in the bottom of the 3rd to take a 7-1 lead. Mermen get 2 back in the top of the 4th on walks a single and an error but would not manage to score again. Commission add 6 in the bottom of the 4th and the game ends that way, 13-3.

Player of the game: Brian Penecale (Commission) - 2/4 (1B, HR, ROE) 3 R, 3 RBI

Game 2: Mayhem at Hemlock Philosophers
This one was over quickly. Mayhem puts up an 8-spot in the top of the 1st on a single, a 2-run HR by Mike Gilbert, an error, a single, a 2 RBI triple, two errors and back-to-back RBI singles. They'd add 1 on a double and RBI singles in the 2nd. Hemlock temporarily gets back in it with a 5-run bottom of the 2nd but Mayhem bats around to the tune of 8 runs in the top of the 3rd and would not look back. Hemlock adds 3 in the bottom of the 3rd but Mayhem goes on to run 12 across the plate in the 5th and takes this one 29-8.

Player of the game: Mike Gilbert (Mayhem) - 4/5 (Hit for he Cycle) 4 R, 4 RBI

Game 3: Vertex Pest Management at Outback Steak House
This is another one that was over early. Vertex goes scoreless in the top of the 1st and Outback explodes for 7 runs on two singles, a ground out, a double, two more singles, an error, two more singles, a walk and another single. They'd add 2 in the 2nd and another in the 4th for a 10-0 lead. Vertex gets on the board with 3 runs in the top of the 5th and 1 in the 6th but Outback would add 4 more in the 6th and takes this one 16-4.

Player of the game: Ryan Maley (Outback) - 4/4 (3 1B, 2B) 3 R, 2 RBI

Game 4: Outback Steak House at Sex Panthers
Tonight was the night for blowouts. Outback stays hot from their 1st game and put up a 21 RUN 1ST INNING. A lead off HR by Ryan Maley followed byb six straight hits, a walk, two more hits, an error, a double, another Ryan Maley HR, a fly out and a bunch more singles and errors and this one is ugly quickly. Panthers get 3 back in the bottom half and 2 in the 4th but it's nowhere near enough and Outback takes this one 30-5.

Player of the game: Schi Berk (Outback) - 3/3 (2 1B, Grand Slam, SF) 3 R, 5 RBI
