Game 1: Hemlock Philosophers (0-0) at Callahan Auto (0-0)
This game kept with the current theme of the year in that it was not played. Hemlock forfeited and Callahan takes this one by default.

Player of the game: The scorekeeper for registering everyone who actually showed up.

Game 2: Vertex Pest Management (0-0) at Mayhem (0-0)
Vertex gets a leadoff walk, a ground out, a single, another walk and a sac fly to take a early 1-0 lead. Mayhem comes up in the bottom half and pops two 2-run HRs by Mike Gilbert and Mike Bitterlich, followed by a double and an RBI single to take a 5-1 lead. Vertex gets 3 back in the top of the 2nd on a leadoff error, and three RBI hits to cut the deficit to 5-4. They’d give those 3 runs right back in the bottom half as Mayhem would get a man on via an error, a single to score him and then another 2-run HR from Mike Bitterlich to take an 8-4 lead. Vertex would get 2 back in the top of the 3rd on an error, a walk a sac fly and an RBI single but would go scoreless the rest of the way. Mayhem would tack on 11 in the bottom of the 3rd on a solo HR by Shane Hanna, three hits, a fielder’s choice, four more hits, another HR by Shane Hanna and then three more RBI hits to take a 19-6 lead. They’d add 6 more in the 4th to take this one by run rule, 25-6.
Player of the game: Mike Bitterlich (Mayhem): 3/3 (1B, 2 HR) BB, 4 R, 5 RBI

Game 3: Jamison Pour House (0-0) at Outback Steak House (0-0)
JPH gets their first three batters on base via hits and they all get knocked in giving them a quick 3-0 lead. Outback comes up in the bottom half and gets 2 runs back via a leadoff single, a double, an RBI sac fly and an RBI single. JPH would get 1 in the top of the 2nd, hold Outback in the bottom half and then get another 1 run in the 3rd. to take a 6-2 lead. Outback gets two 2-run HRs by Ryan Maley & Ryan Henritzy followed by a single, a fielder’s choice, another single, and a two RBI triple to take an 8-6 lead. JPH would tie the game at 8 in the top of the 4th on four singles and only to see the new game evaporate as Outback scores four in the bottom half on a single, an RBI single, and then a 3-run HR by Ryan Henritzy. JPH gets 1 back in the top of the 5th and then holds Outback scoreless in the bottom half. JPH goes scoreless in their half of the 6th and Outback gets 2 to take a 14-9 lead going into the 7th. JPH finally seems to wake up. They’d get a leadoff single, followed by a double, an RBI single, an RBI fielder’s choice, another fielder’s choice, an error, four straight RBI singles, another error, a two RBI single, an RBI single and a fly out to score 10 and take a 19-14 lead. Outback, needing to score 5, gets their leadoff man on via an error, followed by a single, an RBI double, a two RBI single, an error, a RBI sac fly to tie the game with one out. Their next batter would walk but would get thrown out on a double play after the next batter flies out to end the game in a 19-19 tie.

Player of the game: Ryan Henritzy (Outback Steak House): 4/4 (1B, 2B, 2 HR) 3 R, 6 RBI

Game 4: The Commission (0-0) at Irish Car Bombs (0-0)
The Commission gets their first two batters on base and then a sac fly knocks them both in. ICB gets 1 back in the bottom half on a double and RBI triple. Both go scoreless in the 2nd. The Commission gets a 2-run HR by Kevin Roche followed by a solo HR by Ted Peck in the top of the 3rd to take a 5-1 lead. ICB would get 2 back in the bottom half on an error, a double and another error. Unfortunately, they’d only score 1 more run all night, while The Commission would go on to plate 7 in the top of the 4th on fiv hits, three walks and an error. They’d add 1 in the 5th and another in the 6th to take this one 14-4.

Player of the game: Ted Peck (The Commission): 4/4 (HIT FOR THE CYCYLE) 2 R, 4 RBI
