Game 1: Irish Car Bombs (0-1) at Jamison Pour House (0-0-1)
ICB gets a man on and then a 2-run HR by Zach Martin gives them a quick 2-0 lead. JPH would double that in the bottom half, plating 4 runs on a leadoff error, a walk, two RBI hits and a sac fly. They’d hold ICB in the 2nd and score 3 more in their half on a double, two walks, two sac flys and an RBI single. They’d again hold ICB in the 3rd and plate 5 more in the bottom half on two singles, a walk, a grand slam by Chris Beatty and a solo HR by Bill Shallcross to take a 12-2 lead. ICB would finally show some life in the top of the 4th, plating 3 runs on three singles and an error. JPH would see those 3 and add 2 extra runs in the bottom half on a 2-run HR by James Ulmer and four more singles to take a 17-5 lead. ICB would come up in the top of 5th and bat around, plating 7 runs on four walks, three singles and two doubles. They’d hold JPH in the bottom half and then take the lead by scoring 10 runs on six singles, three doubles, a triple and a 3-run HR by Jared Gardner to take a 22-17 lead. JPH gets 3 back in the bottom of the 6th and 2 in the bottom of the 7th but it wouldn’t be enough and ICB takes this one 22-21.

Game 2: Mayhem (1-0) at The Commission (1-0)
Mayhem comes out swinging in this on, batting around in the top of the 1st with a leadoff HR by Tom Ivers, a triple, a walk and a 3-run HR by Mike Bitterlich, followed by six straight hits to take 9-0 lead. The Commission would get 4 back in the bottom half off of a leadoff walk, a double, a 2-RBI triple and an RBI single. Both teams go scoreless I the 2nd and Mayhem is held in the top of the 3rd while The Commission would get 3 runs in the bottom half on an error and three singles. Mayhem gets 5 in the top of the 4th on a 2-run HR by Mike Bitterlich and a solo HR by Shane Hanna. The Commission would get 2 of them back in the bottom half. Mayhem gets those 2 back in the top of the 6th and then would hold The Commission in the bottom half. Score is 16-9 in favor of Mayhem after 6 innings. Mayhem comes up and bats around in the top of the 7th, scoring 11 runs on seven singles, two errors and two walks to take a 27-9 lead. The Commission would put up a valiant effort, plating 9 runs in the bottom half, but it wouldn’t be enough and Mayhem takes this one 27-18.

Game 3: Outback Steak House (0-0-1) at Vertex Pest Management (0-1)
Both teams put up 6-spots in the 1st inning. Outback goess scoreless in the top of the 2nd while Vertex gets 3 runs on back-to-back HRs by Keith & Matt Crowell. Outback gets 1 back in the top of the 3rd, holds Verex in the bottom half and then gets 2 more in the top of the 4th to tie the game at 9. Vertex would immediately un-tie the game in the bottom of the 4th plating 9 runs in the inning on 9 singles and a double. Outback gets 3 back in the top of the 5th and holds Vertex in the bottom half but then can’t capitalize and also go scoreless in the top of the 6th. Vertex gets 1 in the bottom of the 6th to take a 19-12 lead. Outback gets their first two men on in the top of the 7th and brings them in but can’t do anything else and fall 19-14.
Player of the game: Keith Crowell (Vertex): 3/4 (2 1B, HR) 3 R, 3 RBI
Game 4: Sex Panthers (0-1) at Garges Gang (0-1)
This one would be over before any og Garges’ batters get to the plate. The Panthers would run 17 men to the plate in the top of the 1st, scoring 11 runs on a mix of three singles and 10 walks and a sac fly. Garges would get 2 back in the bottom half and then another in the bottom of the 4th but it wouldn’t be enough even if The Panthers didn’t score 1 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd, 2 in the 5th and 5 more in the 6th to take this one 20-3.
