Week 9 at the Quarry

Game 1: Outback Steakhouse (3-3-1) at The Commission (6-1)
Outback gets 5 in the top of the 1st on a few hits and a 3 run HR by Ryan Henritzy. Commission gets 3 back on two singles, a sac fly and a 2 run HR by Kyle Smith. Outback gets 2 more in the 3rd and Commission answers with 1 in the bottom half Outback gets 2 more in the top of the 4th and 4 in the top of the 5th. The Commission gets 1 in the bottom of the 5th to make the score 13-5 after 5 innings. Outback gets 5 in the 6th and gives up 4 in the bottom half and then gets 4 more in he top of the 7th to take this one 22-9.

Player of the game: Matt Homka (Outback) 4/5 (2 1B, 2 2B), 3 R, 2 RBI

Game 2: Mayhem (6-1) at Jamison Pour House (2-4-1)
JPH actually won this game 16-14 but used too many all-stars so they forfeit after the fact. Mayhem wins 7-0.

Player of the game: Keith Keppley (JPH): 4/4 (3 1B, 2B), 4 R, 1 RBI

Game 3: Mermen (5-1) at Brew Crew (3-3)
Mermen get 6 in the top of the 1st on all singles and walks as they bat around +3 batters. Brew Crew gets 3 of them back in the bottom half and then take the lead in the bottom of the 2nd scoring 4 on five singles and a groundout. Mermen get 2 in the 3rd but Brew Crew put up 7 in the bottom half on a bunch of singles and walks. Mermen get 1 back in the 4th but Brew Crew put up 4 more to take a 18-9 lead. Mermen get 6 in the 5th but it’s not enough and Brew Crew takes this one 21-15.

Player of the game: Anthon McCabe (Mermen): 4/5 (3 1B, 2B), 2 R, 1 RBI

Game 4: Irish Car Bombs (4-3) at Vertex Pest Management (3-4)
Vertex would only manage to score a single run in the 4th inning of this game. ICB would plate 3 in the 1st, 4 in the 2nd, 5 in the 3rd, 1 in the 4th and 6 in the 5th to take this one by a run rule 19-1.
