Game #1 – Blue Dog vs. Sons of Pitches

Blue Dog starts up the first game with four runs right out of the gate. Dave Gers started the scoring with a two runs single and a batter later, Jason Robinson grabs an RBI double of his own. John Rodriguez helped add another with an RBI single later in the inning. Sons of Pitches respond in the bottom of the inning grabbing three runs of their own. CJ Motts had an RBI triple and Tyler Motts had an RBI single in the inning. Both teams grab runs in the third to make this a 7-5 lead for Blue Dog Tavern. Mark McCouch had an RBI triple in the inning for Blue Dog. Blue Dog pads his lead in the fifth with an RBI single from Bobby Citrino and two run single from Rodriguez. With their backs against the wall, Pitches came out swinging and grabbed a whooping seven runs. Jon Motts started it with a two run double and that was followed by back to back RBI doubles from Carl Motts and CJ Motts. Pitches hold down Blue Dog in the seventh to steal this game late. Sons of Pitches win 12-10.

Game #2 – Dug Out Demons vs. New Age

Demons get on the board early with five runs in the first. Cody Runner got them started with a RBI single and a couple of batters later, Greg Thompson hits a two run double. Katie Wiley also added a sacrifice fly in the inning. New Age grabs two back with a RBI triple from Alex Peterson and RBI single from Trevor Lane. A couple innings go by without anything big. In the fifth, Demons pick up the bats again and grab four runs, half of that in part to a Runner two run bomb. A two run double by Evan Porter puts this game away late as Demons roll in this one. Demons win 13-4.

Game #3 – Andy’s vs. New Age

After falling short in the first game, New Age looks to get on the board early and succeeds in that. Spencer J and Mark W help get them going with RBI singles as they grab an early 3-0 lead. That last only an inning though, as Andy’s drop five runs in the second to take the lead. Mike Koz smashed a two run homer and Ian Cuzzo crushed a three run bomb into the woods in the inning. Andy’s have another big inning in the third as they put up another five runs. Jay Pane started it up with an RBI triple, Jason Ashworth with a sac fly and then the final shot with a three run bomb from Ron Pulli. Ashworth continues the home run trend for Andy’s as he launches another one, this time a two run bomb. Runs continue to pour in late for Andy’s as they continue to hit well. New Age grabs some back later, but Andy’s are too much for them in this one. Andy’s win 21-8.

Game #4 – Carroll’s vs. Roos

Both teams come out and grab one run in the first for our final game of the night. Steve DiGiovanni hits and RBI double in the second to give Carroll’s the lead. That lead is extended up to 6-1 after a four run output in the third. Kevin Shinkunas starts it with an RBI triple, followed by back to back RBI doubles from Greg Lesher and Bryan Bart. Bob McClintock also adds an RBI double later in the inning to help pace the inning. Roos cut the lead in half in the fourth after a Jeremy Villano RBI single and Anthony Crawford RBI double. Crawford makes it a two run game after he smashes a two run bomb in the woods heading to the last inning. Carroll’s grab three insurance runs, with McClintock grabbing two of them from a two run single giving them a five run lead heading to the bottom of the inning. Carroll’s hold on and secure the win after holding them in the final inning. Carroll’s win 10-5.
