Game #1 – Carroll’s vs. LA Pools

Carroll’s get rolling early Bill Shipe smashes an early three run homer to give them a 3-0 lead. Ali Theis than grabs one more run for Carroll’s with a sac fly. Pools get two runs back off a two run single from Darcy Rabenda to cut the lead in half. Neither team scores in the second. Carrolls break their lead open in the fourth with a five run inning. Mike Stacey hit a three run bomb and Bryan Bart knocked in two with a two run single as well. Pools continue to get some runners on, but can’t get any across. Carroll’s put this game away late with another Mike Stacey homer, this time a three run shot as they get all the insurance they need and win easily. Carroll’s win 14-3.

Game #2 – Carroll’s vs. Blue Dog Tavern

Carroll’s look to keep hitting the way they did in their first game, but come out with a big zero in the first inning. Blue Dog takes advantage and grabs a two run lead after a Dave Gers two run homer. Carroll’s respond big with six runs of their own in the second, and get RBI singles from McClintock and Hallie Bilker as well as RBI doubles from Kevin Shinkunas and Kelly Gallagher. Both teams don’t score across the third and fourth innings. Carroll’s really open up in the later innings with some big homer runs. Kevin Shinkunas smacks two three run homers and Mike Stacey smacks a solo shot. In the end, Carroll’s end up building a big lead and taking this one easy again. Carroll’s win 19-3.

Game #3 – New Age vs. Bry-Lex

Bry-Lex jump out to a big lead early as they bat around and push eight runs across. Cody Miller started the scoring with a laser RBI single and was then followed by Steph Hines, Bryce Bundy, Eric Rosenblum and Doug Moninghof who all had RBI singles of their own. New Age grab three runs back from a Jimmy Kennedy and Katherine Eames RBI single as well as a sac fly from Keith Briggs. Each team scores two runs in the third as both teams go deep. Bryce Bundy had a bomb for Bry-Lex and Kennedy had one for New Age. Bry Lex holds a big lead for the next couple innings until New Age puts up a five spot in the fifth. Kennedy was back at it again with an RBI single and Josh Warden got into the action with an RBI double. Both teams would settle down again til the seventh when Bryce smacks another two run bomb, his second of the game, giving Bry-Lex a 14-10 lead heading to the bottom of the inning. Warden smacks a RBI single and Keith Briggs a batter later, hits a two run double, buts that’s as close as they would get as Bry-Lex sneaks by. Bry-Lex wins 14-13.
