Game #1 – Blue Dog vs. New Age

Jim Kennedy gets Blue Dog off to a good start with a RBI double as they take an early 1-0 lead. Blue Dog responds in the second as they start the inning with back to back doubles followed by back to back RBI singles from John Rodriguez and Bill Roth and grab the lead. Janice Tansits also smacks an RBI single in the inning as Blue Dog leads 4-1 after two. They add more in the third getting RBI singles from Jason Robinson, Rodrigeuz and Roth as they increase their lead to 7-2. Defense controls the fourth as neither team can get any across the plate. Dave Gers expands the Blue Dog lead to eight after a three run bomb into the woods. New Age quickly respond to that and have a big inning in the sixth. Trever Lane starts it with a two run bomb and is followed up by a solo shot from Kennedy. A couple batters later, Josh Worden smacks a bomb into the woods as they cut the deficit down to three runs. That is how it would end as New Age can’t get any more runs across and will fall in this one. Blue Dog wins 10-7.
