Game #1 – Blue Dog vs. LA Pools

Jason Robinson gets the game going with an RBI double followed by a RBI single from John Rodriguez to give Blue Dog a two run lead. Pools come back in the bottom of the inning to get three runs of their own. Glen Hipple had an RBI double as well as RBI singles from Tom Finn and Krissy Bartynski. Blue Dog takes the lead back in the third from a Dave McDonald two run double. Bobby Cintrino also had an RBI single as well. Both teams grab a couple more runs as we stand at 7-5 in favor of Blue Dog after five innings. Pools come all the way back and take the lead in the sixth with seven runs. Greg Reilly started the rally with a two run single and a couple of batters later, Greg Lavin smacked a two run single of his own. Blue Dog put up a rally of their own and get five runs in the seventh. Ed Reynolds had a big two run single to help pace them in the inning. Pools go down in order and this game ends at 12-12.

Game #2 – The Maize vs. Carroll’s

Carroll’s bat around in the first inning, sending 14 batters to the plate as they push eight runs across early to break open a big lead. Greg Lesher and Bill Shipe both had two run bombers in the inning. Ray Patano and Hallie Bilker had two run hits in the inning. Maize gets on the board in the second inning, grabbing one run on a Joe DeSousa RBI single. Carroll’s go right back to work in the second, this time putting up 13 runs in the inning. Lesher was back at it again, smashing a three run bomb this time while Bob McClintock and Ali Theis had RBI doubles. Hallie Bilker had another RBI hit as well in the inning, this time adding it on a RBI single. Maize goes down again in the next couple of innings, as they fall in this one due to Mercy rule. Carroll’s win 21-1.
