Game #1 – New Age vs. Blue Dog

New Age gets this playoff night moving with back to back RBI singles from Lucas Kile and Jim Kennedy. New Age can’t answer back until the next inning when they grab one run off a Bill Roth fielder’s choice. Kile was back at it again for Blue Dog in the third grabbing a run on a fielder’s choice of his own. Both teams start to flash the leather as neither team scores in the fourth and fifth innings leaving us at a 3-1 games after five innings of play. Kennedy smashes a solo shot in the top of the sixth to increase New Age to 4-1. That was cut short the bottom of the innings when Dave Gers smashes a two run bomb. New Age goes back to work in the seventh grabbing two more runs due to a Kennedy double. They head into the bottom half of the inning with a 5-3 lead and are able to hold it. New Age wins 5-3.

Game #2 – Bry Lex vs. LA Pools
Pools come out of the gate swinging grabbing three runs across the first two innings. Mike Cianfichi got them a run off a RBI triple in the first inning and a RBI single in the second got them another. Bry Lex struggle across the first couple of innings. Bry Lex finally dig deep and bat around in the third inning grabbing seven runs total. Steph Hines and Shawn Pflegar both had RBI singles and Cody Miller smashed in a RBI double. Bryce Bundy added a three run bomb later in the inning to take the 7-3 lead. This was shorted lived as Pools get one back in the third thanks to a Joan Glass RBI single. Bry Lex extend their lead in the top of the fifth getting another three run bomb from Bundy, his second of the game. Pools mount a comeback in the sixth sending 10 batters to the plate and scoring six runs in total to take a 12-11 lead. Greg Lavin had a big RBI double that started the scoring followed by two run singles from Cianfichi and Larry Wagner. Trailing by one, Bry Lex comes to the plate. There run would end tonight as they go down without any runs and fall in this one. Pools win 12-11.

Game #3 – New Age vs. Roo’s

The last game of the night gets started with a four run bottom of the first out of Roos. Jake Blum started the scoring with a two run bomb followed by a couple batters later, a two run bomb from Anthony Crawford. New Age gets on the board in the top of the second, but that is short lived when Roos grab a run in the bottom of the inning. New Age starts the comeback as the bring the score to 5-4 after a three run top of the third off a Jim Kennedy RBI single Katherine Eames RBI double. Eric Trechak also had an RBI single in the inning. Again, Roos respond getting five runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. Crawford had another two run bomb followed by a Steph Farrar RBI triple and Doug Farrar RBI double. Another two run bomb later in the game from Crawford puts this one away. Roos will roll to a win in this one. Roos win 15-10.
