Game #1 – Roos vs. LA Pools

Jeremey Villano gets Roos on the board with a two-run bomb right out of the gate. Pools gets one run back on Joan Glass RBI single. Villano gets it going again for the Roos in the third as he smacks a solo homer run and then a couple of batters later, Ed Landau knocks one in with an RBI single. Roos get four more runs in the fifth from, yet again, another big hit off the bat of Villano, this time a two run double. Chris Lansberry also added one from a sac fly and Paige Devine added one off an RBI single. Roos quickly put this one away with a three run bomb from Villano. Roos win 14-4.

Game #2 – LA Pools vs. The Maize

Maize gets on the board first in this one with a Christian Hazzlet fielder’s choice. Pools respond in the second inning with a two run single from Brian Steeber. Pools get five more runs in the third inning starting with a RBI single from Greg Lavin. Samantha Stoops then draws an RBI walk followed by a Tom Finn sac fly. Joan Glass and Krissy Bertynski also has RBI singles in the inning as well. Pools get three more RBI singles in the fourth to push their lead up to 10-1. Maize start to fight back in the fifth getting five runs back. Egitto started it with an RBI single followed by a two run single from Nick Chiaverini. Gary Kelinschmidter also had a two run triple in the inning. Bob Garges does what he can in the sixth to get Maize back in the game, but they fall short. Pools win 14-9.

Game #3 – The Maize vs. Rock and Rebel

Maize starts the scoring off in their second game of the day with a two run double from Nick Chiaverini. Defense then comes into play for the next couple of innings until the third, when Rock and Rebel push across five runs. Bobby Citrino starts it with an RBI single and that was immediately followed up by a Emily Kline RBI single. Janice Tansits and Ed Reynolds had RBI’s in the inning as well. Paul Hensler and Bob Kolecki get Rebel two more runs in the fifth helping to push their lead to 8-2. Rebel gets one more run in the sixth from a Reynolds RBI single as they continue to flash the leather defensively. Maize can’t get anything going late and fall in this one. Rock and Rebel wins 9-2.
