Game #1 – Sandlot Sluggers vs. Dug Out Demons

Demons strike first and grab three runs in the first thanks to a sac fly from Bill Shallcross and a couple errors. Sluggers respond in the second getting a run on a Steph Thrasher RBI single and two on a two run double off the bat of Curt Hensman. Sluggers take a brief lead on a solo bomb from Axel Alicea, but Demons take it back quick on a fielder’s choice from Jake Haber and sac fly from Bill Shallcross. Again, Sluggers take the lead back getting four runs in the fourth. Dave Cunningham and Jarret Kerns both had RBI singles and Axel drew an RBI walk in the inning. Tom Koelzer smacks a three run bomb in the fifth to increase their lead to 11-6. Demons come alive and grab five runs in the bottom of the inning though. Rob Lyons starts the scoring with an RBI single followed by a two run double from Shallcross and RBI triple from Jason Pane. Greta Sheridan and Deanna Myers add RBI singles in the inning as well. That would be all that Demons need as they close the door defensively and hold on. Demons win 12-11.

Game #2 – Complete Liquidators vs. Motley Crew

Motley Crew get rolling fast and heavy as they put up 12 runs right out of the gate. Kevin Motts and Evan Porter both had RBI doubles early in the game, with CJ Motts, Amanda Bradley, Tom Finn all having RBI singles. Larissa Motts and Kaelyn Motts round out the inning with RBI doubles. They get back to work in the second getting three more runs and making this a 15-0 game after two innings. Evan Porter added a two run bomb in the third and CJ Motts smashed a Grand slam in the fifth as this game is all Crew. Complete Liquidators show some fight and grab six runs in the fifth, half of them thanks to a Charlie Kelly three run bomb. But in the end this game is all Crew as they roll. Crew win 23-6.

Evan Porter (Crew) – 3/3, 2B, HR, 4 RBI’s



Game #3 – Roos vs. Complete Liquidators

Jake Blum gets an RBI triple to start the scoring for Roos in route to a 5 run first inning as they jump out to a lead. Complete Liquidators come out swinging and get four of those runs back. Charlie Kelly smashes a two run homer in the inning while Anthony Cataldo hits an RBI triple. Roos come out swinging again getting four runs. Paige Devine had a two run single. Kelly comes back again for Liquidators getting two more runs on a two run triple as they still trail by three. Liquidators break open in the third for seven runs. Pat Donohoe grabs a couple runs on a two run double and Kelly stayed hot with a grand slam, his second home run of the game. Roos had matched their big inning with and eight run fourth and fifth. Villano did a lot of damage across the two innings with a two run double and three run bomb as Roos take the lead at 17-13. Kelly smashes a late two run bomb, but Roos will end up holding on in this one. Roos win 17-15.
