Game #1 – Carroll’s vs. Sandlot Sluggers

Both teams come out slow as neither teams score in the first couple of innings. Sluggers get on the board first in the bottom of the third. Jarret Kerns starts it with an RBI double and is followed up by a two run triple off Tom Koezler. Jackie Turelli also adds an RBI single. Carroll’s get one run back on a Bob McClintock RBI single, but Sluggers quickly respond with a Noah Andress two run bomb. Carroll’s come out with a big fifth inning thanks to a big bases clearing triple from Greg Lesher. Bill Shipe also adds one on a sac fly. Shipe ties tis game at 7 with a two run single in the sixth. We head to the seventh looking for someone to step up and win this game. TK steps to the plate and answers that call, blasting a two run bomb into the woods and winning the game. Sluggers win 9-7.

Game #2 – Knuckleheads vs. Complete Liquidators

We get started with this shootout in the first getting RBI singles from Stephanie Farrar and John Kiefer as well as an RBI triple from Jay Cybok as they take a 6-0 lead. Complete Liquidators respond with three runs of their own, getting an RBI triple from Charlie Kelly and two run bomb from Scott Carroll. Knuckleheads get five more with a Brandon Birkhead sac fly, Bobby Hartzell two run double and Jose Rodriguez RBI single. Again, Liquidators respond with some runs of their own getting a Colin Donohoe RBI single and Kelly sac fly. Both teams exchange big haymakers later in the game. We start in the fifth when Liquidators explode for 10 runs. C. Donohoe and Anthony Cataldo smash a two run single and two run double respectfully, while Kelly smashes a two run bomb. Knuckleheads respond with a big sixth inning in which they put up nine runs. Jackie Burns, Farrar and John Schofield smack RBI singles, while Birkhead and Jaden Newman smack a RBI triple and solo bomb respectfully. In the end, Knucklheads outhit Liquidators and take this. Knuckleheads win 27-15.

Game #3 – Dug Out Demons vs. Mott-Ley Crew


Demons get going right out of the gate with an RBI triple followed up by an RBI single from Jay Pane. As they break open a 3-0 lead. Both teams grab a run in the second before Demons grab a couple more runs in the third. Rob Lyons smashes a solo bomb while Ben Razzi grabs a run on an RBI single. Crew get to within a few runs after Evan Porter and Dan Geiger smash RBI singles and then Tom Finn manages a run on a Fielder’s choice. This gets the Demons going again as they then answer with four. PK smashes a two run triple which then sets up a two run bomb from Jake Haber. Demons get three runs late, and hold off Crew’s push as they will win this one. Demons win 13-8

Game #4 – Roos vs. Mott-Ley Crew


Jeremy Villano gets this final game going with an RBI double as they look to knock off Crew after they just came off a loss. Crew match them in the first off a Kevin Motts RBI double and a two run bomb from who was getting ready for a big game. Crew were back at it again with four more runs in the second. CJ Motts knocked in a run on an RBI double and Dan Geiger knocked in a run on an RBI single. Porter also went deep, with his second two run homer of the game. Crew start to run away with this one in the third when Porter goes deep again, his third two run homer of the game. Larissa Motts also clears the bases with a three run triple as they run away and win this game big. Crew win 18-3.
