Game #1 – Rock-N-Rebel vs. Carroll’s

Carroll’s come out of the gates swinging the bats hot and grab 10 runs. Kevin Shinkunas, Bob McClintock, Kelly Gallagher and Steve DiGiovanni all had RBI singles and Bryan Bart had a two run single. Greg Lesher smashes a three run bomb in the third as Carroll’s continue their onslaught of runs in this one. Rebel finally gets on the board in the fifth getting a solo bomb from Bobby Citrino and a couple of RBI singles from Ray Barry and Erik Stalford, but it looks to be too much too late. Carroll’s shut them down defensively and win this one easy. Carroll’s win 16-3.

Player of the Game:
Greg Lesher (Carroll’s) – 3/4, 2B, HR, 5 RBI’s

Game #2 – Rock-N-Rebel vs. Wackers

Rebel looks to get off to a better start in this one after falling short in the previous game, but again, give up runs right out of the gate. Dan Vescovi starts the scoring with an RBI double, followed by a Kyle Simonye two run homer. Rich Stead also added a two run single later in the inning. Homers help give Wackers a couple more runs in the third, when Vescovi and Alex Amador go deep. Wackers score a total of 11 runs before Rebel even get on the board. Rebel finally get on the board in the fourth on a Mark McCouch RBI single as well as a Flan Flanagan two run single. Wackers get right back to work and Simonye smashes another homer, another two run bomb. Wackers add some more runs late and will win this one early. Wackers win 17-7.

Player of the Game:
Kyle Simonye (Wackers) – 5/5, 2B, 2 HR’s, 6 RBI’s

Game #3 – Wehrung’s vs. The Maize

The last game of the night gets started with an Adam Hendricks RBI triple and then a two run bomb from Luke Hendricks a couple of batters later. The maize, playing a couple of players short, grab five runs back after a battle of walks from the opposing pitched. William Schnakenber also added an RBI single in the inning. Wehrungs battle though that and come back with six runs in the top of the second. Bill Saxton and Adam Hendricks smash back to back two run doubles while Tim Hendricks and Nick Myers hit RBI singles. Again, Maize responds by batting around and putting up seven. Singles and errors helped the cause in the inning. Back and forth we go as each team continues to deal blows to each other. Luke Hendricks gives Wehrungs a seven run lead after blasting another ball into the woods. Maize steps up in the fifth knowing this is their last chance due to time limit. Austin Grosso gets them two runs on a single and Tom Egitto and Bill Worthington both have RBI singles, but that’s as close as they would get and fall two runs short. Wehrungs wins 20-18.

Player of the Game:
Luke Hendricks (Wehrungs) – 4/4, 2B, 2 HR’s, 5 RBI’s

Player of the Week:
