Game #1 – Chapman vs. Carroll’s

Sarah Yoos strikes first for Carroll’s blasting a solo homer. This is followed up a couple of batters later from back to back RBI singles from Hallie Bilker and Bob McClintock. Steve DiGiovanni also added an RBI double in the inning as well as they lead 5-0. Chapman get back those five runs in the second. Dave Porco starts the scoring with an RBI single followed by a Cody Miller RBI double. Dennis Witkowski then adds two on a two run triple. Lauren Fitzpatrick rounds out the inning with an RBI single. Carroll’s would start to take control at this point. Ray Patano and Bill Shipe go back to back as they smash homers in the bottom of the inning. After both teams struggle at the plate for a cople of innings, Carroll’s take command of the game with a five run fifth inning. Shipe goes deep again, his second of the game and Carroll’s take the one easy. Carroll’s win 18-8.

Game #2 – Carroll’s vs. Rock-N-Rebel

Carroll’s get going in game two looking to capture the second win of the night and start off with three runs. Shipe and Hallie Bilker had back to back RBI doubles in the inning. Rebel responds with one run on an Ed Reynolds RBI single. Rebel tie this game in the third on a Mark McCouch RBI double and a Reynolds two run triple. Another inning goes by with no runs as it looks for a team to take control. Rebel takes the first step with that with a four run fifth inning. McCouch, Bobby Citrino and Ray Barry all have RBI singles in the inning. After grabbing an insurance run in the sixth on a Paul Hensler sac fly, Rebel looks to shut down Carroll’s and win this game. Carroll’s are able to grab a couple of runs and get within two, but that is where they would fall and lose this one. Rebel wins 9-7.
