Game #1 – Wehrungs vs. Wackers

Wackers strike first in this one getting a two run bomb off the bat of Kyle Simonye. Neither team scores until the third inning when Wackers grab one more run on a Lissa Tercha fielder’s choice. Wehrungs come all the way back and take the lead in the fourth inning. Alex Poniketera starts the scoring with an RBI single and a batter later Luke Hendricks smashes a three run bomb. That’s short lived as Wackers tie it up in the bottom of the inning on a Matt Bookheimer RBI single. Back and forth we go as now Simonye smacks a homer and gives Wackers the lead again. A sac fly from Bookheimer walks this off in the bottom of the inning as Wackers will win in walk off fashion. Wackers win 6-5.

Game #2 – Wehrungs vs. Carroll’s

Steve Giovanni starts it with an RBI single, which is then followed by a sac fly from John Zeits and another RBI single from Bob McClintock. Wehrungs get a big inning out of Schilling in the third as he goes deep for the second time of the game, another two run bomb. Alex Ponikterea also smacks a two run triple in the inning as Wehrungs go up 8-3. Caroll’s waste no time as they tie it in the bottom of the inning. Sarah Yoos and Krysten Marinelli have RBI hits as errors paced the rest of the inning. Homers continue to be the big factor for as Hendricks blasts a two run shot and puts them up by two in the fifth. Yoos come up big again for Carroll’s in the seventh as they draw to within one run. That is as close as it would get as Carroll’s fall just short. Wehrungs win 10-9.

Game #3 – Chapman vs. The Maize
