Game #1 – Roos vs. Knuckleheads

Roos come out strong with a Jeremy Villano two run double followed by a two run triple a couple of batters later. Andrew Greeby grabs another run for on a fielder’s choice as Roos take the 5-0 lead. Roos get right back to it in the bottom of the inning grabbing five more runs. Frank Fusca gets into the action in this inning smashing a two run triple. Homers paces this inning with Stephanie Farrar hitting a three run bomb and Jose Rodriguez smashing a two run bomb. Roos finally wake up again and blow up again for five runs in the sixth and five runs in the seventh. Fusca and Villano get the job done both netting two hits and three RBI’s across the last two innings. Knuckleheads trail by one heading to the bottom of the seventh, and they are able to get two runners on, but that is where they would get stranded and they would fall by one in this one. Roos win 20-19.

Game #2 – Sandlot Sluggers vs. Mottley Crew

Sluggers are the first to score in the top of the second. Curt Hensman knocks in a run on a fielder’s choice, but that would be short lived. Amanda Bradley gets Crew on the board in the bottom of the inning with an RBI single. Neither team can get anything going at the plate until the fourth. First Sluggers get back to back RBI singles from Katie O and Noah, but Crew answers and get rolling with three runs. Greg Reilley started the scoring with an RBI single and Dan Geiger knocked in two with a two run single of his own. The score remains at 4-4 after five innings of play. Sluggers get some help from the long ball in the sixth from a two run Axel bomb and a couple of batters later, Steph Thrasher adds another on an RBI single. CJ Motts responds for Crew with two more runs in the sixth on a two run bomb. Kaelyn Motts then nets a run on a sac fly to tie this game up again. We head to the last inning where Tom Koezler blast a three run bomb to give Sluggers the lead again. Axel then cushions the lead a bit more with a two run single as they take a 12-7 lead heading to the bottom of the inning. Game #3 – Dugout Demons vs. Complete Liquidators

The third game gets started with a Rob Lyons RBI single followed by a Deanna Myers RBI triple helping pace the Demons early. Pat Kelly also adds an RBI single in the inning. Liquidators match that getting three runs on a Jenna Bundy RBI single and a couple of errors. Demons get right back to work in the second, in big part thanks to a Kelly grand slam giving them a seven run lead. Liquidators can only manage getting one run back on an RBI single from Charlie Kelly. Demons look to start to put this game away and get a big eight spot in the fourth. Singles from Myers, Brittany Ulman, Bill Shallcross and Lauren Wood help pace the inning on top of a Keith Keppley two run double. Liquidators show some fight across the third and fourth and are able to stay around scoring ten runs. Carl Pately had a bases clear triple and Colin Donohoe, Nick Diapalo and Ant Cataldo had RBI hits in the innings. Demons continue to stay hot at the plate and net another eight runs in the fifth and ultimately end this one due to time limit. Rob Lyons continue to hit well and adds a two run triple in the inning.
