Hatfield – Game 1

Blue Dog Tavern vs Roos

The Roos took the early lead scoring 1 run in the 1st on a Dan Wehlau Home Run, 1-0 Roos after 1. In the 2nd the bats exploded, the Blue Dog Tavern batted around and scored 7 runs on 7 hits including a 2 rbi double by Bill Roth, the Roos scored 6 runs on 6 hits, the big hits a double by Dan Cymerman, and 3 run Homer by Jeff Blum, 7-7 after 2. In the 3rd Blue Dog Tavern scored 1 run on a couple of hits, and the Roos scored 3 runs on Jeff Blums 2nd 3 run Homer of the game, 10-8 Roos. In the top of the 4th Blue Dog Tavern tied the game scoring 2 runs on a couple of hits and a sac fly, the Roos retook the lead in the bottom of the 4th scoring 3 runs on a couple of hits including a double by Dan Wehlau, 13-10 Roos. In the 5th Blue Dog Tavern again rallied scoring 2 runs on walks, singles and a sac fly to make it 13-12 Roos. In the 6th neither scored and the Roos win this game 13-12.

Hatfield – Game 2

Maize vs New Age

New Age got on the board 1st, scoring 2 runs in the 1st inning on 3 singles and a fielder’s choice, 2-0 New Age after 1. In the 2nd the Maize got on the board and took the lead batting around and scoring 8 runs, the big hit a Ryan Garges 3 run Homer, 8-2 Maize after 2. In the 3rd the Maize scored 3 runs on singles, errors and a double by Bill Worthington, and New Age scored 4 runs, the big hit a double by Mark White, 11-6 Maize. In the 4th the Maize bats kept pounding away scoring another 4 runs, the big hits a Tom Eggito double, Ryan Garges base clearing triple and a Gary Kleinschmidt Homer, New Age responded by scoring 3 runs on singles, sac fly and double by Josh Worden, 15-9 Maize after 4. New Age continued to rally in the 6th scoring 1 run on singles and a fielder’s choice, then scoring 3 runs in the 7th the big hit a double by Coty Thomas but it was not enough and the Maize wins this one 15-13.
