Week 7 - Aug. 6th

Post by latincontrol »

Game 1: Da Bears v. Dingers

Jason Adelman finished with 4 hits in the game while driving in 3 and scoring once. Adam Ceneviva stayed hot with a 2-4 game which included 3 ribbies and 2 runs scored. Ricky Schultz & Tyler Forest both scored 3 times as Da Bears plated 16 for the game.

Dingers’ offense was limited to just 2 innings. John Gibson doubled home 2 in the 2nd while Brandon Birkhead hit a solo bomb in the 7th. Dingers plated 2 in the 2nd and 3 in the 7th and finished with only 9, not enough to win this game.

Game 2: Vertex v. Beers

Vertex again missing some players this week and it hurt them offensively. They generated no offense until the 6th when Tom Rider led off the inning with a walk and Mat Crowell tripling home 2 runs in the 6th. That capped a 4-run inning…all they would score in the game.

Beers on the other hand, a better offensive night. Ryan Whitely capped a 5-run first with his 2-run single, Ryan Calabro and Ryan Maley both went yard in the 2nd and Maley again went yard in the 4th, this time a 3-run bomb. Beers scored 14 and win by 10.

Game Three: Team Horsham v. Cale’s Pale Ales

Well, Team Horsham had 14 in their line up and most of them put in work in route to 20-run performance. Casey Saverio finished with 5 rbi on 3 hits, Matt Galasson was perfect with a 4-4 night, Mike Spahits also went 4-4 with 5 ribbies and Adam Lightkep drove in 2 hitting out of the 13-spot.

Cale’s also had a nice offensive performance. Brennan Rudnick’s bases-clearing triple in the 2nd helped fuel an 8-run inning. TJ Ohnthrop singled home 2 more runs in the 7th after being down 20-10. That rally yielded 5 runs, but came up short by just as many losing this one, 20-15.

Game Four: Team Horsham v. Mike’s Bar & Grill

Horsham’s offense remained hot in this game plating 24 more runs. Casey S had two hits in the game, both 2-run home runs. Brett S and Austin A also homered while Mike C finished with a 3-3 night which included his own 2-run shot in the 4th.

Mike’s had a rough night. Only 9 players and no offense to work with they managed just 2 runs, both coming in the 5th. John Biondo and Mike Marcaline singled home the two runs. No where near enough to prevent the mercy rule, and fall 24-2.
