Game One: Dookie Brewster v. Dingers

Dookie Brewster begin the summer campaign looking to defend their spring title and they got to work immediately doing so. Jarred Gardner smashed a 2-run homer in the first inning while Chris Hackney doubled home a run in the 2nd. With the help of a couple of errors, Dookie went on to score 9 runs in the 3rd with the big hit coming from Hackney again…this time, a 2-run single. Rob McKenna had a 2-run homer in the 4th and Jon Poore added a solo shot in the 5th.
Dingers got going early as well when Mike Casbar hit a 3-run shot in the first inning and Pete Auteri had a solo bomb in the 2nd. Mike had another HR in the 3rd, this time a 2-run shot and Jake Zbarsky walked and scored in the 5th. Dingers scored 11 but gave up much more as Dookie won by 15.

Game Two: Beers v. Team Horsham

Beers played with jus 9 in the game, but it did not stop them from scoring some runs. Connor Macfarlane had a 2-run single in the first, Scott Runzer drove in two with a triple in the 2nd and then doubled home 2 more with a double in the 3rd. Scott had yet another rbi double in the 5th and tripled and scored in the 7th. He finished with 5 rbi.
Horsham was relatively quiet for the game except in the 6th. They exploded for 10 runs with back-to-back bombs coming from Zach Prendergast and Eric Lane. Jarrett Prendergast tripled home a run and later scored. Horsham, with their one HUGE inning stayed in the game but still fell to Beers by 2.

Game Three: Mike’s Bar & Grill v. Kings Corner

Dave Demko pushed the first two runs across for Mike’s with a first inning double. Eric Rosemblum singled and scored in the 2nd, Dave with his 2nd hit of the game (single) scored in the 3rd and rbi hits from Zach Lyatt, Kyle Saba & Joe Talarico put 4 more runs on the board in the 4th. Dave Shannon singled home the team’s 10th run in the 7th.
But King’s Corner performed much better offensively. Matt Schaub homered in the first inning and Dan Cymerman did the same in the 2nd. But in the third inning, they exploded batting around the entire line up twice. NINETEEN runs were scored in that frame alone. Every man in the line up scored at least once with just two players not scoring two times. King’s Corner destroyed Mike’s 26-10.

Game Four: Philly Junk v. HG Coal Fire Pizza

Philly got nice production in the first inning with a 6 run frame highlighted with KC Ingram’s 2-run single. Mike Bitterlich homered twice (both solo bombs) while Brandon BIrkhead added a 2-run homer in the 4th. Philly had 17 for the game.
The Pizza Boys’ Josh Keszczyk homered twice with a solo bomb in the 1st and a 3-run shot in the 6th. Philly committed some errors in this game, (6 total) which certainly led to the 6th inning collapse. Andrew Fratangelic started the 6th with a single and before it was over, Josh had a 3R HR, Brandon Parker had an rbi triple, and Eric Cohen drove in 6th run of the inning to walk the game off 18-17.
