Game One: Beers v. Vertex
Beers` team got good offensie production from Ryan Henritzy and Ryan Whiteley. Ryan H tripled twice while driving in 2 runs and 2 scoring twice himself. Ryan W also scored twice, drove in 3 runs and smashed a 2-run home run in the 3rd inning. They managed to plate 12 men for the game.
Vertex got off to a great start in the first inning when they scored 6 runs sending 15 men to the plate. Nick Maile tripled home a run. But Vertex would go cold from there scoring just 3 more times the rest of the way. They lose this one 12-9.
Game Two: Cale’s Pale Ale v. Just Foods
This game was a pure blow out. Just Foods scored just 5 runs. One of the lone highlights was Connor O’Keefe who doubled twice on the night and drove in a run.
But this game was all Cale’s. Aided by 6 Food errors, they scored 21 runs and amazingly only had 4 extra base hits. None coming by way of the long ball. They singled many times and with defensive collapses it led to many runs being scored. TJ Antrup tripled home 2 runs in the 3rd and Craig Magid doubled home 2 in the 5th. Cale’s easy winners 21-5.
Game Three: Mike’s Bar & Grill v. Just Foods
Well, 1 run on 5 hits for Mike’s. Mark McLaughlin scored the lone run. Nothing more to say!
Well, 5 runs on 6 hits for Foods. Dave Demko walked and scored twice. Nothing more to say!
Game Four: Toto/Kiefer v. Slurricanes
I hate to do this but…
Slurricanes, 3 runs on 7 hits. Only 1 run scored based on offensive production, or rather said earned.
Toto/Kiefer player lines on the night…
• Chris Hackney – 2-2 with a single, double and 3 walks. Scored 4 times.
• Jay Cybok – 2-2 with a single, triple, 2 runs scored and an rbi.
• Brian Penecale – 4-5 with 3 singles, a double, 3 runs scored and 3 rbi’s
Toto/Kiefer easy victors, 20-3.
