Game 1 Turtles vs Knuckleheads

Turtles get this one going in the top of the first by scoring 3 on 5 hits with Kyle Rizzi ripping a double into the gap, and then go quiet in the top of the 2nd. Turtles would go on to score 16 more runs and have a really productive game at the plate, specifically Jake Feehan and Kyle Rizzi each with 4 hits and 4 runs scored, and a 4th inning bomb by Jason Brown. However, it wouldn't be enough to keep up with the Knuckleheads bouncing back in week 2. Taking an out in the 10 hole for the Turtles could have ended up being a deciding factor here.
Knuckleheads look a lot different this week. Answering the Turtles 3 in the top of the 1st with 5 of their own in the bottom. They would then score 3 more in the 3rd, and a combined 19 runs in the 4th and 5th. Knuckleheads really put this one to rest in the bottom of the 5th when they batted around scoring 11 on 11 hits, starting with a leadoff dinger by Justin Kelly. Knuckleheads take this one 27 - 19 in 6 as time seems to have cut it short.

Player of the game: Justin Kelly 4 for 4, 1 single, 2 doubles, and a HR with 7 RBIs

Game 2 Wu Tang Forever vs Hitmen

Wu Tang defers and takes away to get this one going. Relatively quiet top of the first as two runs score on a Tom Koelzer 2 run dinger. Top of the 2nd things get more interesting as Wu Tang bats around scoring 9 on 9 hits. They would then score 12 more in the 3rd thru 5th.
Hitmen have a tough night at the plate. They would put together 6 hits and had contributions from Chris Smith, Kyle Carpenter, Jake Haber, and Lauren Schron. Haber used his heads up softball IQ and scored the Hitmen's 1 run while Wu Tang's catcher was too busy picking up a bat to play his position, costing Crazyaxl yet another shutout. Wu Tang takes it 23-1

Player of the game: Marge "Greta" Sheridan 3 for 3 with 3 singles

Game 3 We Buy Houses vs Booze Hounds

Booze Hounds get going in the top of the 2nd and the first 4 hitters of the inning all score. They would go on to score 3 more thru 7 innings. Contributions were pretty evenly distributed in this lineup, and Dax Torres would finish the game going 3 for 3.
We Buy Houses start hot and score 5 on 6 hits in the 1st. They would then score 6 more thru 6 innings and it would be enough to put this one away comfortably.

Player of the game: Jarrett Kerns & Frank Fusca both going 3 for 3 with a single, double, and triple

Game 4 Cabinets vs We Buy Houses

We Buy Houses stays hot going into the 2nd part of their double header. The first 6 hitters of the game all score. In fact, the top 9 hitters in this lineup all had plate appearances in each of the first 4 innings. Thats pretty rare to see.
Cabinets would put up a good fight in this one, scoring 13 total and had good contributions from the top half of the lineup. Brian Sauers would finish the game with a pair of triples and most likely shortness of breath. Dave Buonomo would go 3 for 3 and park it at first base on all three hits, way smarter than Brian. Bottom line, houses have cabinets, and in this one Houses beats Cabinets by a score of 26 to 13.

Player of the game: His shorts may be too short, but that didn't stop Jarrett Kerns from going 7 for 7 on the night in this double header.
