Game 1: IDC vs Philly Junk
IDC exploded out of the gates to the tune of 11 runs in the 1st. Jarred Gardner stole the show with first inning homers including a gran slam and 6 RBI. Afer getting 2 runs back in the 1st inning, Philly Junk chipped way even more with the help of homers from Mike Bitterlich and KC Ingram to add 6 more runs in the second. IDC adds a few more in the 3rd off of a 2run dinger by tom Koelzer. Philly Junk would not be outdone. A mammoth blast by Ryan Russell and later a 2-run tater for KC Ingram helped cut the deficit to 1. They took the lead in the 4th on the heels of 8 runs which included a base clearing triple by KC Ingram. Philly Junk would add 5mor runs across the 5th and 6th innings to bring their score to 25. Jared Gardner’s 3rd and 4th homers of the night in the 5th and 7th innings respectively were not enough as IDC would fall by a score of 25-19 despite his 11 RBIs.
Game 2: Wackers vs Titans
I’m going to skip right past the Wackers due to the fact that they only scored 2 runs in this game. It was all Titans from the 2nd inning until the 15-run rule in the 5th. Some notable hits from John Rush (RBI 2B), Mike Dura (2 RBI 3B) and a “walk off” grand slam by Kyle Rizzi. Titans win 17-2.
Game 3: ICB vs TGIF
Scoring was at a premium in this one as only 11 runs would be scored between the two teams. Ryan Godman got ICB on the board early with a 2-run homer in the 1st. Later, Ryan hit a triple and then scored after a Matt Hatch double. That was it for ICB. TGIF didn’t wow you at the plate but they did enough to win. Greta and Dave hit back to back doubles in the 2nd and both scored. Chase Luxton hit an RBI triple in the 3rd. Adam Lightkep hit a 2-run homer in the 5th. Lastly, Mike Koz hit a double in the 6th. TGIF wins 8-3.
Game 4: ICB vs Throwdown
ICB faired a little better at the plate in this one. Throwdown scored 8 runs in this game and did so playing mostly small ball. Only 2 of their runs came from extra base hits. Jon Poore had a RBI double in the 4th and Axel Alecia hit a solo home in the 5th. For Throwdown, Ryan Goodman hit a 2-run shot in the 1st, Matt Hatch had a RBI double as part of a 6-run 3rd and followed that up with another RBI double in the 5th. Throwdown holds on, 10-8.
