Week 3 at the Quarry

Game 1: Benny the Bums at Outback Steak House
This one is all Outback. They bat around, plating 12 runs in the bottom of the 1st after getting BB to go down 1-2-3 in the top half. A single, an error, two more hits, a 2-RBI triple, another error, two more hits, a sac fly, a third error and four more doubles give Outback a 12-0 lead. They'd add 2 in the 2nd and 3 in the 4th and take this one 17-0 in 4 innings.

Game 2: The Commission at Hooligans
The Commission gets 5 in the top of the 1st on five singles, a walk and a 2-RBI triple. Hooligans get a lead off double, an RBI single and a 2-run HR by Mike Bitterlich to cut their deficit in the bottom half. They'd take the lead in the bottom of the 2nd on a solo HR by Brandon Birkhead, two singles, a 2-RBI double and an RBI single for a 7-5 lead. Commission re-take the lead in the top of the 3rd on a single, a RBI double and a 2-run HR by Ted Peck makes it 8-7. A 2-run HR by Brandon Birkhead in the bottom of the 4th makes it 12-9. Two singles, a 2-run HR by Kevin Roche, a walk and RBI double gives the Commission lead to 12-9 in the top of the 5th. Hooligans take a 16-12 lead in the bottom half via five singles, three walks and an error. Commission ties the game in the top of the 6th on a lead off double, a RBI single, a walk, an RBI double, a walk and a 2-RBI single. Hooligans takes the lead in the bottom half on a single, an error, three straight RBI singles, a walk and a 2-RBI single for a 21-16 lead. Commission would only manage 3 runs in the top of the 7th and fall to Hooligans 21-18.

Game 3: Hunsy's Chickens at Vertex Pest Management
Vertex gets a 2-run HR by Matt Schaub in the bottom of the 1st. Hunsy's gets 5 in the top of the 2nd on singles and ground outs and an error. Vertex ties the game in the bottom half on two walks, an RBI double and an RBI ground out and then takes the lead in the 3rd on a 2-run HR by CJ Snyder. They'd add to their lead in the 4th via a 2-run HR by Keith Crowell, two singles, a 2-RBI triple and a sac fly for a 12-5 lead. They'd add 3 in the 5th and 8 more in the 6th while holding Hunsy's to only 1 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th and take this one 23-8.

Game 4: Hemlock Philospohers at Hunsy's Chickens
Hemlock gets a 3-run HR by Dave Bradley in the top of the 1st as part of a 6 run inning. They'd add 4 in the 2nd on singles, a double, and an RBI ground out and 3 more in the 3rd on three errors, a walk and a ground out. Hunsy's finally gets on the board in the bottom of the 4th via a double and two RBI singles. But it's nowhere near enough as Hemlock adds 6 more in the 5th on errors, singles and RBI groundouts and takes this one 18-2.
