Week 5 at the Quarry

Game 1: Hooligans at Hunsy's Chickens
Hooligans comes out firing, plating 5 runs in the top of the 1st on a walk, a 2-run HR by Mike Gilbert, two singles and two doubles. Hunsy's gets 1 back in the bottom of the 2nd via a double and single. Hooligans gets another 5 in the top of the 3rd on six hits including a 2-run HR by Eric Beatty. Hunsy's get 2 back in the bottom half but then let up 9 in the top of the 4th. Singles, errors and a grand slam by Shane Hanna give Hooligans a 19-4 lead. they'd add 7 in the 5th to take this one 26-4.

Game 2: Garges Gang at The Commission
Commission plates 4 in the bottom of the 1st on five hits including a 2-run Hr by Kevin Roche. GG gets 3 back in the top of the 2nd on singles, and an error but Commission matches the 3 in the bottom half to re-take the lead. Commission adds 3 in the 4th on doubles and singles for a 10-3 lead. GG gets 2 back in the top of the 5th but immediately give up 3 in the bottom half and then another 7 in the 6th to fall 20-5.

Game 3: The Commission at Vertex Pest Management
Commission stays hot, plating 7 run in the top of the 1st on a walk, a double, an error, a sac fly, a single, two walks an RBI double and RBI single. They'd add 1 in the 3rd on a single, ground out and an error and 3 in the 3rd via a 2-run HR by Bobby Argeros and two singles for an 11-0 lead. Vertex finally gets on the board in the bottom of the 4th, plating 7 runs on singles and walks. They'd hold Commission on the 5th and plate 3 more in the bottom half. Commission bats around in the top of the 6th, plating 7 runs on seven hits including HRs by Brian Penecale and Greg Thompson. Vertex gets 4 back in the bottom half to make it 17-14. Commission run 2 across the plate in the 7th on a 2-run Hr by Kevin Roche. Vertex gets the first 5 men on base the bottom half and run 3 across the plate, but three straight ground outs end their comeback and Commission takes this one 19-17.

Game 4: Vertex Pest Management at Outback Steak House
Vertex runs 7 men across the plate in the bottom of the 1st on singles, errors and a 3-run HR by Keith Crowell. Outback gets 3 back in the bottom half on walks and extra base hits. Vertex plates 4 in the 3rd on singles and errors and Outback gets 2 back in the bottom half on singles and ground outs to cut their deficit to 11-5. Vertex runs 4 more across in the top of the 4th on a single, a double, a sac fly, an error and two more doubles. Outback gets 3 back in the bottom of the 4th on a walk, two singles and a triple to cut it to 15-8. They'd add 3 more in the bottom of the 5th to cut their deficit to 4 but Vertex holds them the rest of the way and adds 3 insurance runs in the 6th to take thie on 18-11.
