Week 1 at the Quarry

Game 1: Hemlock Philosophers (0-0) at Sex Panthers (0-0)
Hemlock starts with 2 in the 1st on two RBI singles and the Panthers get 3 in their half on four hits and two sac flies. The Panthers would add 5 in the 2nd, 2 in the 3rd, 2 in the 5th and 6 more in the 6th to take this one easily 18-2.

Player of the game: Jon Motts (Panthers) – 5/5 (3 1B, 2 2B), 5 R, 4 RBI

Game 2: Vertex Pest Management (0-0) at Outback Steak House (0-0)
Vertex gets 1 in the 1st on three hits and Outback gets 2 in their half on four singles. Outback would add 3 more in the 2nd on an error and three hits. Each team would get 1 in the 4th and Outback gets 3 in the bottom of the 6th on four hits and a groundout. Vertex ocmes up in the bottom of the 7th and plates their first 5 batters to get within 1 but would then make three straight outs and Outback takes this one 8-7.

Game 3: Mayhem (0-0) at Irish Car Bombs (0-0)
Mayhem gets a quick 1 in the top of the 1st but ICB plates 3 in the bottom half on five hits. Mayhem plates 4 in the 2nd on five hits and a sac fly but ICB retakes the lead again by scoring 5 on seven singles. Mayhem comes out in the 3rd and runs 7 men across the plate on five singles a walk and an error. After 5, the score is 13-11 in favor of Mayhem. Mayhem adds 5 to their lead with four hits and a walk. ICB comes up in the bottom half and ties the game at 18 by sending twelve men to the plates and plating 7 of them. Mayhem gets 1 in the top of the 7th on a triple by Tom Fannon and a groundout by Craig Henderson and then would hold ICB in the bottom half and take this one 19-18.

Player of the game: Jay Cybok (ICB) – 4/4 (2 1B, 2 2B), BB, 3 R, 1 RBI

Game 4: Mayhem (1-0) at The Commission (0-0)
Mayhem starts their second game of the night quick, scoring 5 in the 1st on two walks, an error and two doubles. Commission gets 3 back on singles and then would hold Mayhem for three innings while scoring 1 in the 2nd, 5 in the 3rd and 5 in the 4th. Mayhem would get 4 back in the top of the 5th but Commission would run all 12 of their batters to the plate in the bottom half, scoring 10 of them and taking this one 24-9.
