Game 1: Ballz Deep (6-0) at DaVanzo Shift (0-6)
BD starts strong and quick after a leadoff out. Their next six batters reach base via hit and all are driven in. Another double and RBI single gives them a 7-0 lead after 1. They’d tack on 5 more in the 2nd on six hits, including a 3-run HR by Ed Sheehan to take a 12-0 lead. They’d then plate 3 more in the 3rd on two doubles, two singles and a walk to go up 15-0. DaVanzo would get 3 back in the bottom of the 3rd on singles & errors. BD comes up in the 5th and puts the game away…batting around almost twice, plating 11 runs and taking a 26-4 lead. DaVanzo gets 3 back in the bottom half but nowhere near enough and BD takes it 26-7.

Player of the game: Adrian Reyes (BD) – 4/4 (3 1B, 3B), BB, 3 R, RBI

Game 2: Outback Steakhouse (3-4) at Mayhem (5-2)
Outback gets a 2-run HR by Greg Moylan and a solo HR by Ryan Henritzy in the top of the 1st to take a 3-0 lead. They’d add 5 more in the 2nd as they’d bat around. They also tack on 2 more in the top of the 3rd on an error, walk and two singles and 2 more I nthe top of the 4th on more errors and a double. Mayhem finally shows up and gets a solo HR from Mike Bitterlich and a 2-run HR by Shane Hanna to make the score 10-4. Outback gets 2 more in the 5th on singles and a sac fly to take a 14-4 lead. Mayhem gets a 2-run HR by Brian Acker and 2 more runs on a walk and two doubles to cut their deficit to 14-9. Each team gets 1 in the 6th and Outback takes this one 15-10.

Player of the game: Greg Moylan (Outback) – 4/4 (3 1B, HR), BB, 1 R, 4 RBI

Game 3: Vertex Pest Management (0-6) at The Commission (2-4)
Vertex starts quick, plating 2 I nthe top of the 1st on a double and two singles. Commission gets a leadoff walk, a single, an error and a 3-run HR by Brian Penecale to take a 4-2 lead. A Grand Slam by CJ Snyder gives Vertex a 6-4 lead in the top of the 2nd and they’d extend that lead by 3 more runs via singles and sac flies in the top of the 4th. Commission takes the lead in the bottom of the 3rd on a solo HR by CJ Motts followed by three hits, a sac fly and three more hits to take a 10-9 lead. They’d extend their lead in the 4th with a leadoff walk, a triple, single, triple and single to take a 14-9 lead. Vertex gets 3 back in the 5th on three hits, a walk and a groundout. Both teams go scoreless in the 6th and then Vertex takes the lead in the bottom of the 7th by way of a leadoff error, single, 2-rbi single and 2 more singles to take a 15-14 lead. They’d put the Commission down 1-2-3 in the bottom half to hold on for the win.

Game 4: Irish Car Bombs (5-2) at Vertex Pest Management (1-6)
ICB gets a leadoff HR from Zach Martin then they’d add 2 more via a single, a walk and three more singles to take a 3-0 lead. Vertex gets 1 back in the bottom half via a double and a sac fly. A solo HR by Jared Gardner gives ICB a 4-1 lead. Vertex comes out swinging in the bottom half of the 2ndm scoring 7 runs on a leadoff triple, followed by six singles and a 3-run HR by Sean Nonemacher. ICB gets 3 back in the top of the 3rd with a single, a walk, and a double/error and then they’d take the lead in the top of the 4th on five singles, a sac fly and a 3-run HR by Ryan Goodman to take a 14-8 lead. Vertex gets 1 back in the bottom half and then each team would plate 5 in their half of the 5th inning. Vertex would hold ICB in the top of the 6th and would come up in the bottom half and bat around their 13-man line up, plating 8 runs and taking a 22-19 lead. ICB would only manage a single run in the top of the 7th and Vertex takes their 2nd win of the night 22-20.
