Game #1 – Wackers vs. Carroll’s

Both Wackers and Carroll’s grab three runs in the first inning as we continue to have a tie game after the first inning. Erik Szostak had an RBI walk and Mike Kelly smashed a deep fly to score two runs on a sac fly. Carroll’s got their runs on a three run bomb from Kyle Gallagher. Carroll’s grab a big lead after Wackers put up a couple runs in the second and third innings. Gallagher goes deep again in the bottom of the third to help Carroll’s with their lead. John Zeits and Ali Theis had RBI’s in the inning as well. Wackers fight all the way back in the fifth getting five runs on RBI singles from Alex Freeman and Matt Figuora as well as two more RBI’s from Kelly. Carroll’s win this game late from a sac fly from Steve DiGiovanni and then a seventh inning defensive stand. Carroll’s win 12-11.

Game #2 – Bry-Lex vs. Sons of Pitches

Jon Motts starts this scoring off with an RBI single giving Pitches an early 1-0 lead. They get two more runs on a sac fly from Pete Edgar and Justin Ruth RBI single to make this a 3-0 lead early. Bry Lex struggles early in this one at the plate, but continue to stay in the game with fantastic defense. Motts goes back to work in the fourth with a two run homer as they push their lead out to five. Bry Lex finally get on the board in the fifth grabbing two runs off a Kerry Donohoe hit and Eric Rosenblum two run double. This must have sparked something as Pitches come back and respond with five runs in the sixth. Motts smashed another home run, this time a there run and Jesse Kuiper smashed a two run homer of his own. This proved to be too much for Bry Lex today as they fall. Pitches win 10-4.

Game#3 – Shark’s vs. Blue Dog

Both teams start off strong on defense in this one as each team can only push across one run across the first two innings. Ryan Hamilton had an RBI single for Shark’s and Bill Ruth had an RBI single for Blue Dog. Blue Dog gets going in the third with three more runs started with a two run triple from Dave Gers. Ed Reynolds, a batter later knocked him in with a RBI single. Neither team scores again until the fifth. Shark’s got two runs off another Hamilton RBI single and Joe Sharp hit. Hamilton added some more runs later in the game with two runs of another Hamilton single. Blue Dog trails by three as we head to the bottom of the seventh. After tying the game from a Dave McDonald two run single, Mark McCouch ends the game on a sac fly. Blue Dog takes this one in the final inning. Blue Dog wins 7-6.
