Game #1 – Knuckleheads vs. Roos

Knuckleheads strike first with six runs right out of the gate. Ryan Goodman started it with a two-run homer followed by a Kyle Simonye RBI double, Matt Bookheimer two run single and Bobby Hartzell RBI double. Roos cut that defeict in half with three runs in big help by back-to-back RBI triples from Jeremy Villano and Chris Lansberry. Anthony Crawford and Brandon Birkhead go back to back in the second with homers giving them an 11-3 lead. Roos also put up a big inning in the second pushing across six runs. Lansberry delivered a homer in the inning, a two run shot and Villano and Blum both had RBI singles. Roos bat around again in the third for six more runs. Blum was at it again clearing the bases with a triple and netting Roos three runs. Roos take the lead with a three-run bomb off the bat of Villano, but that was short lived as Knuckleheads tie it up in the fifth. Knuckleheads put up six runs in the sixth to again take the lead back. Birkhead lead the inning with a two run triple. But again Roos fight back to tie the game in the seventh. Lansberry delivered a three-run bomb in the bottom of the seventh to tie it up. We head to extras looking for a hero. That ends up being Jeremy Villano as he smashes another homer and walks this one off. Roos win 27-25.

Game #2 – Roos vs. Knuckleheads

The second game gets started with the same aggression as game one with Roos putting up six runs right out of the gate. Blum starts the scoring with a two-run homer followed by a Paige Devine RBI single and Kayla Diamond RBI walk. Roos grab two back on back-to-back RBI singles from Crawford and Birkhead. Both teams are quiet until the fourth when Roos tack on one more run on a Dave Blum RBI single. This sparks the Knuckleheads and four runs that they get back. Goodman nets one on an RBI single and Simonye gets another on an RBI double. Roos double their lead in the fifth with a two run bomb by Jake Blum and get three insurance runs in the seventh inning. Villano added two runs on another homer, his third of the day. Knuckleheads have one more shot to get back into the series and start that comeback with a solo bomb off the bat of Birkhead. A couple more runs get them to within four runs, but that is where it would end as they cannot push any runs across. Roos win 13-9.
