Game #1 – Andy’s vs. New Age

Both teams come out firing in this one as Andy’s puts up five runs over the first couple innings and New Age matching them and getting seven runs of their own. Warren Grant and Adam Lightkep had RBI doubles and Chris Hesdon had a two run double for Andy’s. New Age got runs from RBI singles from Bob Sipes and Chris Pflaumer and a bases clearing double from Matt Laird. Andy’s continued their hitting in the third getting eight more runs in the third. Ryan Coonahan started the scoring with a solo homer and a couple batters later Mike Koz knocked in one on a RBI double. Mike Koezler then smacked a two run bomb into the wood to give them more breathing room. Jason Pane also added a home run in the inning as the power outburst helps Andy’s take a big lead. Koelzer and Pane were back at it in the fourth getting RBI double and RBI triple respectfully. Andy’s really put this game away in the fifth as Andy’s bat around and add 12 more runs. Koelzer added another two run double as well as two run singles from Ron Pulli and Jay Cybok. Andy’s run away with this one late. Andy’s win 27-7.

Game #2 – Dugout Demons vs. Sons of Pitches

Demons come out rolling getting two quick runs on an Evan Porter two run jack. Ron Bannister gets them another run off a fielder’s choice. Pitches respond well getting four runs in the bottom of the inning. Jon Motts started it with an RBI triple, followed by a CJ Motts RBI double and Carl Motts RBI single. Pete Edgar added an RBI double later in the inning as well. Demons grab five more runs in the second. Rob Lyons got the scoring started with an RBI double followed by a two run double from Jarret Kerns. Cody Runner goes deep in the inning with a two run bomb. Pitches get a bomb of their own in the third, this one a grand slam off the bat of CJ Motts as we stand at 8-8 after three innings of this slugfest. Balls continue to fly out of the quarry as Porter goes deep twice over the next two innings. He hit a grand slam in the fourth and a three run shot in the fifth. Kerns puts this game to bed with a three run bomb in the sixth as this night was filled with homers. Demons win 23-9.

Game #3 – Techline Trauma vs. Sons of Pitches

Pitches looks to shake off their first game and comes out swinging in this one. They bat around early and grab 12 runs right off the bat. Jon Motts started it with a two run homer, followed by a solo shot from CJ Motts a batter later. Chris Edgar then goes deep with a two run shot as the home runs continued on this night. RBI singles fill the rest of the inning. More of the same in the second, this time pushing 14 runs across. Pretty much everyone in the lineup got into the action with RBI singles as they continue to move station to station in this one. Techline gets on the board with four runs in the third. Rick Pipito, Natalie Needham and Laurie Reboy had RBI singles in the inning. Pitches take this one early with the mercy rule in effect. Pitches win 27-5.

Game #4 – Techline Trauma vs. Roos

Roos look to replicate the same success as Pitches and jump out to a big early lead. Anthony Crawford clears the bases with a three run triple to start it and is followed up a batter later by a Steph Farrer RBI triple. Jeremey Villano had a huge first inning knocking in seven runs of his own after getting a first at bat walk. He first cleared the bases with a hit and then later in the inning smashed a grand slam to break this game open early. More of the same came in the second inning when Villano left the park again, this time smashing a three run bomb. The rest of the team got involved with RBI singles and good defense and this game ends after four innings due to mercy rule. Roos win 29-5.
