Game #1 – Sons of Pitches vs. LA Pools

Pitches get this nice fall night going with two runs in the top of the first. Jon Motts smacked one in on a fielder’s choice and Carl Motts smacked an RBI single. Pools get three in the bottom of the inning to take the lead. Greg Lavin hit a two run single and Darcy Rabenda had an RBI single in the inning. Pitches take the lead back in the second with a Chris Edgar solo home run and RBI hit from Jon Duchette. Jon Motts nets Pitches another run in the third on a solo home run. P. Edgar also gets them a run from a sac fly. Neither team scores for a couple of innings as both teams lock it down defensively. Pitches come out with the bats again in the sixth. P. Edgar starts the scoring with a two run double and a batter later, Chris Edgar smashes a two run bomb. Pitches would put this one away late with a couple more runs in the seventh.

Game #2 – Carroll’s vs. Andy’s

Bill Shipe gets Carroll’s going in this one with a two run triple and is followed up by a Bob McClintock RBI double and Mike Stacey RBI single. Andy’s respond fast and take the lead with five runs in the bottom of the inning. Jay Pane got them rolling with a two run double and a couple batters later, Warren Grant and Ian Cuozzo net some runs on RBI hits. Andy’s really break out in the second as they bat around and push eleven runs across the plate. Mike Koz nets a two run double and Mike Koezler two run triple as they were the two big hits in the inning. Andy’s would get six more runs across the net three innings as Carroll’s didn’t really have an answer in the one. Carroll’s are only able to push eight runs across in the inning and will fall to Andy’s in this one. Andy’s win 23-8.

Game #3 – Dug Out Demons vs. Bry-Lex

The third game of the night gets started with a Ryan Hines RBI single and Tom Koezler RBI triple as Bry-Lex powers their way to a 3-0 opening inning lead. It took Demons an inning to get going, but get it going in the second and third inning pushing four runs across in each. Home Runs were the key to these big innings. Greg Thompson smashed a three run bomb in the second and in the third they got home runs from Kevin Roche and Evan Porter. Koezler gets Bry-Lex another run on a sac fly, but it would dry up after that. The runs would not stop for Demons. Thompson smashed another homer, this time a solo shot. Bill Shallcross netted three runs for them over two hits thanks to a two run single and sac fly. Demons take this game easy late. Demons win 17-4.

Game #4 – Bry-Lex vs. Roos

Bry Lex looks to get off to the right foot in this one after struggling late in the first game and do so. Nick D started it with an RBI single followed by two run doubles and an RBI double from Cindy S and Bryce B respectfully. Much like the first game, Bry Lex opponent gets off to a hot start with eight runs coming from Roos. John Margicin and Jake Blum both had triples in the inning to help drive in the runs. Jeremy Villano smashes a two run bomb for Roos in the second as they take an 11-4 lead after two innings. Bry Lex fights back in the third and nets six runs of their own to bring this game to within one. Tom K had an RBI double and Colin D and Nick D had RBI singles in the inning to help Bry Lex. Roos would then get rolling again as they put up eleven runs across the fifth and sixth innings. Crawford smashed two home runs late with two separate two run bombs. Roos just string together hits late in this one and pull away with the victory. Roos win 25-10.
