Game #1 – Roos vs. Sons of Pitches

Roos get a first inning Steph Farrar RBI single to get them on the board first. Pitches respond in the bottom of the inning grabbing two runs on a two run single from Carl Motts. Roos quickly tie the game in the second from a Tom Montvydas RBI single of his own. Neither team scores in the third as the defensive side of both teams come out. Roos then grab three runs in the top of the fourth. Montvydas starts it again with another RBI single, and that is followed up by a Jake Blum sac fly and Anthony Crawford RBI double. Neither team scores again until the seventh when John Margincon gave Roos two more runs on a two run single. Pitches get three runs back in the seventh from an error and Jon Motts two run triple. That is all they could put up in the inning and will fall in this one. Roos win 7-5.

Player of the Game:
John Margincon (Roos) – 2/4, 2 RBI’s

Game #2 – Roos vs. LA Pools

Roos come back in game two looking for more runs than in their first game and start it with two getting runs off a Jake Blum RBI single and Steph Farrar sac fly. Pools get two runs of their own on a Glen Hipple double and Greg Lavin sac fly. Like the first game, runs are hard to come by in this one as neither team scores in the second and Pools only grab one run in the third. Roos open up with a big inning in the fourth grabbing three runs on a Tom Montyvdas RBI double and a couple of errors. Pools respond in a big way in the fifth, taking the lead after pushing four runs across the plate. Lavin started the scoring with an RBI single followed by a Mike Cianfichi RBI single and Darcy Rabenda two run double. Pools hold on in this low scoring affair. Pools win 7-5.

Player of the Game:
Greg Lavin (Pools) – 2/2, 2 RBI’s

Game #3 – Dugout Demons vs. Techline Trauma

Demons start off the last game of the night looking to generate some offense and the first two games showed that runs are hard to come by in this one. Demons really break that trend in the first after pushing eight runs across. Cody Runner got the scoring started with a grand slam and Jarret Kerns, Bill Shallcross and Katie Wiley all had RBI singles. Demons come out again strong in the second, this time exploding for 19 runs and breaking this game open to 27-0. The entire team got involved in the scoring and hitting in the inning. This would continue to be the trend for the rest of the game, as Demons just continue to hit and hit. In the end, they would take this one early and win big. Demons win 40-0.

Player of the Game:
Cody Runner (Demons) – 4/6, HR, 6 RBI’s
