Game #1 – Bry-Lex vs. New Age

Bry-Lex gets this one going fast with a four run first inning. Ryan Hines started the scoring with an RBI single and that was followed up with a Tom Koelzer RBI double a couple of batters later. Nick DiPaolo and Bryce Bundy also added RBI singles in the inning as well. New Age responds with two runs in the bottom of the inning after a Coty Thomas RBI double. New Age grab two runs across the next two innings to keep this at a 5-4 games after four innings of play. Cindy Snyder pushes that lead to two after she smacks an RBI single of her own in the fifth. Bry-Lex puts the game away in the sixth after a bases clearing double from Hines. Koezler provides an extra insurance run in the seventh with a solo blast. Bry-Lex wins this one with some later inning hitting. Bry-Lex wins 10-5.

Game #2 – New Age vs. Blue Dog

Both teams come out with a run in the first inning. New Age got their run on a Coty Thomas RBI single and Blue Dog got their runs on a Mark McCouch Jr. solo bomb. McCouch provided us with the next runs of the inning in the third, this time a two run moonshot pushing their lead up to 3-1. New Age finally responds in the fifth grabbing two runs of their own and tying the game up. Teresa Barone and Mark Maund had back to back RBI singles to give them the offense. Blue Dog respond in a big way in the bottom of the sixth getting six runs total. Dave McDonald, Ed Reynolds and Bill Roth had RBI singles in the inning and Jason Robinson delivered a two run single. Blue Dog would take the lead for good in this one as they stop New Age defensively down the stretch.

Game #3 – Carroll’s vs. The Maize

Carroll’s start off the last game of the night with a five run first inning. Bryan Bart started the scoring for Carroll’s with an RBI single and a batter later the bases were cleared with a Grand slam off the bat of Bill Shipe. Maize gets one of them back with a Gary Kleinschmidt RBI double in the bottom of the inning. Lesher added another home run for Carroll’s in the second inning helping to push their lead to 8-1. Carroll’s go back to work in the fourth, this time getting a home run from Bryan Bart. Lesher also had added an RBI single in the inning. There was too much of Carroll’s late in this one as they pull away and keep their lead to secure the win. Carroll’s win 17-5.
