Game #1 – Bry-Lex vs. Knuckleheads

Both teams come out firing able to push across two runs apiece. Bryce Bundy had a deep sac fly for Bry-Lex and Moe Rodriguez had a two run single for Knuckleheads. Colin Donohoe gives Bry-Lex a brief lead with a solo homer in the top of the first. That is answered quickly as Anthony Crawford knocks one on an RBI double. Knuckleheads start to take control of the game in the fourth as they have a big inning and bat around. Steph Farrar starts the scoring with an RBI single, which is then followed up by a two run double from Ryan Goodman. Matt Bookeheimer grabs a two run double of his own a couple of batters later. Crawford grabs an RBI triple later in the inning to round out the scoring as they take a 11-3 lead. Knuckleheads keep it going and grab another five runs across the next two innings, as they will take this on easy. Knuckleheads win 16-5.

Game #2 – Roos vs. The Maize

Roos come out swinging the big bats as they get back to back homers right out of the gate from Jake Blum and Jeremy Villano. Selina Alicea adds an RBI single later in the inning to give them an early 4-0 lead. Maize answers with four runs of their own off a Nick C single and a couple errors. Blum was right back at it again in the second grabing a two run triple with Chris Lansberry also grabbing a run on a triple of his own. Roos hold a 10-7 lead after two innings as we look to be in a slugfest. Villano keeps it going for Roos in the third with a two run triple as they continue to rely on the extra base hits. Roos really put this game away late in the fifth scoring another eight runs. Blum goes deep again, this time a solo shot and Montvydas gets into the homer run party with a three run bomb. Roos win 23-9.

Game #3 – Wackers vs. Roos

Roos looks to continue on their first game success and hold a 2-1 lead after one inning. Wackers are the first to strike big with a five run third inning. Roc Akers started the scoring with an RBI single, followed by an Alex Freeman RBI double. Jaden Newman smashed a ball to the warning track that ultimately was caught, but netted them two runs. Villano gets Roos to within two run after he blasts a two run homer into the woods. After Wackers grab four runs in the top of the fourth, Roos explode for seven runs and take a one run lead. Blum had a massive bases clearing triple in the inning. Roos then take a 16-12 lead heading into the sixth after getting RBI’s from Blum and Villano. Wackers step up and score 3 runs to get to within one run, but that is as far as they can get as Roos will hold on. Roos win 16-15.

Game #4 – Sandlot Sluggers vs. Bad Pitches Only

Sluggers come out firing in this one as they blow up in the first two innings pushing a whopping 15 runs across. Nick Maile had a two run double and RBI double and Jackie Heim had two RBI doubles in the inning as well. Jake Seymour also added a two run bomb in the first couple innings. Pitches grab two runs in the first couple innings and trail 15-2 after two innings. Sluggers continue to hit the ball well and get a two run bomb from Jarret Kerns. Kerns adds a three run bomb in the fifth inning and then adds a three run shot in the sixth inning as they look to pace the game with home runs. Axel Alecia also added a grand slam late in the game as the Sluggers run away with this game.
