Game #1 – Wehrung’s vs. The Maize


Luke Hendricks gets the scoring started tonight with an RBI single followed up by another RBI single later in the inning from Cheyann Guinan. Maize respond back in the bottom of the inning with three runs of their own. Austin Grasso knocks in two on a two run double and Bill Worthington gets a run on an RBI single. Maize grabs a lead in the second with an RBI single from Davis Kane. Wehrungs fight back in the third getting a big three run bomb off that bat of Luke Hendricks. This gives them a 7-4 lead. The Maize gets one more run before their bats go cold. Wehrungs get back to the scoring in the fifth with three more runs. Hendricks knocks in another run while Wyatt Schilling gets into the action with an RBI double. Wehrungs get a couple insurance runs late as they will win this one. Wehrung’s win 13-5.

Game #2 – Carroll’s vs. The Maize


Carroll’s get going with a Bill Shipe two run double right out of the gate to take a 2-0 lead. The Maize fight back in the bottom of the inning with a Davis Kane RBI single. Carroll’s get that right back with an RBI single from Kelly Gallagher as they retake their two run lead. Defense runs the game for the next couple of innings until the fifth when Carroll’s gets going again. Hallie Bilker gets them started with an RBI single followed by another RBI single and sac fly later in the inning. Carroll’s look to put this game away in the sixth when they get a two run double from Kevin Shinkunas as well as an RBI double from Bilker. Bryan Bart smashes a solo bomb in the seventh as Carroll’s with hold on Maize in this one and get the win. Carroll’s win 14-2.

Game #3– Rock N’ Rebel vs. Carroll’s


Rebel gets rolling with a three run bomb from Bobby Citrino right out of the gate giving Rebel the 3-0 lead. Carroll’s respond with a run of their own on an RBI double from Brian Bart. Neither team scores in the second inning as their bats go cold. Rebel wakes their bats up with a big four run inning in the third. Emily Kline and Janice Tansits start it with back to back RBI singles and Stefano Giuliano nets Rebel another run later in the inning. Rebels up their lead to 10-2 in the top of the sixth inning. Back to back singles from Bobby Citrino and Ed Reynolds get the job done. Carroll’s finally wake up and respond in the bottom of the inning. Sarah Yoos had a two run triple and Greg Lesher smashes a two run bomb deep into the hatfield woods as they cut the game to 10-8. Carroll’s get a couple runners on in the seventh, but that is as far as they could get them and can’t push any across as Rebel hangs on. Rebel wins 10-8.
