Game #1 – Mott-ley Crew vs. Dugout Demons

Carl Motts gets the scoring started in this one with an RBI single in the second inning. Demons get that run back in the bottom of the inning with a Jay Pane RBI triple. Demons take the lead in the third with a two run double from Charlie Hooker. Crew cuts that lead to within one run on an RBI single from Kevin Motts as this continues to be a big time defensive game. Crew explode for three runs in the fifth, getting RBI singles from Evan Porter and Carl Motts as well as an RBI triple from CJ Motts. Demons grab a run in the fifth and sixth, but they save their big inning for the seventh. Trailing by one run heading into the bottom of the inning, Brittany Ullman quickly ties it with an RBI single. After loading the bases, Charlie Hooker steps to the plate with the game on the line and he produces, he sends a moonshot into orbit and they walk off in this one, a walk off grand slam. Demons win 10-6.

Game #2 – Sandlot Sluggers vs. Knuckleheads

Nonny gets the party started with a leadoff homer, although he was pulling out the driver for the homer. Koezler helps him out and brings him in on an RBI single. Knuckleheads respond with three runs of their own. Anthony Crawford knocked in a run on an RBI double. Sluggers get back to work on a sac fly from Axel and RBI single from Steph Thrasher. Sluggers break open for another six runs in the third. Jackie Heim, Krysta Wellington and Curt Hensman all smash RBI singles and Thrasher nets two more runs on another single. Tyler smashes a two run double for Sluggers in the fifth as they continue to hit well. Curt also grabs another RBI on a fielder’s choice. Knuckleheads bat around in the fifth and grab nine runs. Jimmy Craig and Jesse Faller start the scoring with RBI singles, while Crawford clears the bases on a bases clearing triple. Birksmith and Jose Rodriguez then go back to back with RBI doubles before setting up Jon Poore on a two run blast. Nonny stands from short admiring that moonshot that just happened. Sluggers take it personal and they get back to work. Nonny starts it with a double, followed by a Koezler two run triple. A Jarret Kerns RBI single gives Sluggers the two run lead. Haley C brings the game to within a run, but that is as far it would get. Sluggers slam the door shut and take this one. Sluggers win 18-17.

Game #3 – Roos vs. Knuckleheads

Roos come out strong with Frank Fusca smashing a ball into the woods early. Dave Blum and Jake Blum then smack RBI singles to give them a 5-0 lead out of the gate. Knuckleheads respond with four runs of their own. Jesse Faller starts the scoring with a leadoff homer, followed by RBI hits from Poore and Cybok. Hannah Jimenez increase their lead with a two run triple as they lead 7-4. We head to the fourth where we will see Roos put together another big inning. Fusca was back at it again with a two run single, while Chris Lansberry and Jordan Jimenez both smash RBI singles in the inning. The fifth inning brings much of the same with ten more runs. Lansberry knocks in two runs with a triple and Jordan Jimenez smashes a three run bomb deep into the woods. Paige also smashing a big fly ball which drives in a run on a sac fly. Knuckleheads try to crawl back into the game grabbing some runs late, but they just would not have it in this game. Roos win 23-13.

Game #4 – Total Liquidators vs. Roos

Roos come out firing looking to make this a long night for Liquidators and they do so with back to back solo homers right out of the gate from Lansberry and Hannah Jimenez. Jake Blum, Paige and Andrew G net three more runs with RBI hits as they put up an eight spot in the first inning. Roos get four more runs on a two run double from Tom Montvydas and RBI double from Blum. Liquidators get on the board in the second inning with an RBI single from Ant Cataldi and RBI double from Cody Miller, a laser that smashes off the fence. Roos get them back right away grabbing three runs in the fourth and getting two in the third. Roos control this game and shut it down defensively, not allowing liquidators to get going at all in this one. Roos win 17-2.
