Game #1 – Wehrung’s vs. Carroll’s

Wehrung’s gets rolling out of the gate with five runs. Lowell Snyder and Luke Hendricks get it started with back to back RBI singles. Erik Senderling then smashes a two run single to push the lead up to four runs. A Cheryanne Guinan RBI walk nets them one more run. Carroll’s respond in the bottom of the second with their first run, an Allie Theis RBI single. Senderling gets it goin again with a two run double in the third, giving them a six run lead. Carroll’s wake up with a big fourth inning, getting a grand slam deep into the woods off the bat of Bill Shipe. Wehrung’s gets another run in the sixth as they hold a 9-5 lead after five innings. Carroll’s get a rally going in the sixth again, this time to the tune of three runs. Bryan Bart had a two run double and Bill Shipe an RBI triple. Carroll’s get to within a run, but that is where it would ends as they will fall by a run finishing up their season. Wehrung’s win 9-8.

Game #2 – The Maize vs. Rock-N -Rebel

Rebel gets on the board first with an error after a couple of hits to take the 1-0 lead. Maize strike first big in the second inning as they push across seven runs. Tom Egitto, Bill Worthington and Gary Kleinschmidt smash RBI singles and a get an RBI double from William Schakenberg. Rebel respond big in the fourth inning, but before that grab a solo bomb off the bat of Mark McCouch Jr, a solo shot. McCouch was big in the fourth inning as well smashing a grand slam, while Paul Hensler drives in two runs on a two run single. Rebel hold a two run lead heading into the fifth inning. Aaron Worthington smashes a solo bomb in the sixth for Maize bringing them to within a run. Rebel respond in the bottom of the inning with two more runs. Bob Kolecki helps in the inning with an RBI single. Maize get one more run in the seventh on a Kleinschmidt sac fly, but that is all they could get in the bottom of the inning. Rebel holds on and will move on to the chip.
