Game #1 – Demons vs. Roos

Demons get rolling out of the gate with six runs. Charlie Hooker, Ryan Goodman and Bill Shallcross all have RBI singles to start it and then later in the inning, Greta Sheridan, Phil Black and Mandi Shehan smack RBI singles of their own. Roos get half of that back in the bottom of the inning. Jordan Jimenz and Paige Devine get RBI singles in the inning. Demons grab two more runs in the second on a Jake Haber two run bomb. Demons keep their hot hitting going in the fourth and fifth getting seven more runs. Charlie Hooker smashes a solo bomb and RBI double in the innings. Roos continue to struggle at the plate while Demons keep rolling. Demons put this game away with a nine run seventh. Hooker continues to swing the bat well with a three run single. Demon take care of business and move on to the next round. Demons win 26-6.

Game #2 – Knuckleheads vs. Mott-Ley Crew

Knuckleheads come out sluggish only grabbing one run on a Brandon Birkhead RBI single. Crew gets going in the second inning after a sluggish first as their own. Jon Duchette knocks in two on a single to get them started. Another inning goes by before any scoring happens again in the fourth. Carl Motts and Dan Geiger knock in two runs on singles with Duchette getting another on a fielder’s choice. Knuckleheads continue to struggle as they can’t push any runs across. The fifth is good to Crew as they bat around and score eleven runs. Evan Porter knocks in two runs on a single while Kevin Motts, Greg Reilly and Jon Motts all add runs on singles. Greg Reilly also adds a two run single in the inning as they batted around. Knuckleheads will fall big in this one and will have the offseason to think about it. Crew win 16-1 and will move on to the chip.

Game #3 – Demons vs. Sandlot Sluggers


Demons get started where they left off in game one, with a two run bomb off the bat of Charlie Hooker. Sluggers respond in the bottom of the inning with a three run bomb off the bat of Jarret Kerns. Axel also knocks in a run on an RBI double. Demons get right back to it with a Jay Pane RBI triple as well as RBI singles from Greta Sheridan and Mandi Sheehan. Keith Keppley also nets a two run single and Hooker stays hot with a two run triple. Sluggers get a couple of runs back from singles from Kyle Rizzi and Axel as they try to get one back in this. Demons have a big inning in the fifth with five more runs. Bill Shallcross knocks in two on a single and Ben Razzi knocks in two on a double. Sluggers respond with four runs of their own. Tyler W grabs two runs on a single. This is where Demons really take off grabbing another two runs in the sixth. Hooker continues to be a force and smashes a two run bomb in the inning. Demons will take care of business and drop Sluggers in this one as they move onto the championship next week. Demons win 23-11.
