Game #1 –Bry Lex vs. Blue Dog

Bry Lex gets on the board first in this one with a Ryan Hines RBI hit. A Shawn Pflger walk sets up a 2 two run bomb from Cody Miller fresh off a big lifting session. This gives Bry Lex a 3-0 lead after one. Blue Dog answers in the bottom of the inning with a Jason Robinson two run double. Bill Roth adds a RBI single later in the inning. Bry Lex explode for seven runs in the second which was started by a Eric Rosenblum RBI walk and Jillian Monninghoff RBI single. Doug Moninghoff, Hines and Pleger all smash RBI singles then as Bry Lex takes a 10-4 lead. Blue Dog answer again with four runs. Bob Kolecki and Robinson had RBI singles and Dave Gers had an RBI double. Both teams are shut out in the third and fourth until Cindy Snyder smashes an RBI single to increase Bry Lex lead to three. Bry Lex really put this game away late as they score 13 runs over the fifth and sixth innings. Moninghoff had a 2 run single and two run triple in the inning and Bryce Bundy, who was fresh off the lifting session with Cody went deep into the woods as well. Bry Lex win this one 24-10.

Game #2 – Blue Dog vs. Dug Out Demons

Blue Dog come out strong in this one getting five runs right out of the gate. Gers started it with a RBI double followed by an Ed Reynolds two run double and John Rodriguez RBI triple. Donna Finlayson also added an RBI single later in the inning. Demons match that with six runs of their own in the bottom of the first. Nick Mancini had an RBI single and Alex Elmore had an RBI double. Jon Poore smashed a two run bomb into the woods a batter later and Phil Black added an RBI double to give them the one run lead. Both teams get three runs in the second which preserves Demons one run lead. After Blue Dog gets two runs, Demons get three on three straight RBI’s from Shanna Gardner, Katie Wiley and Sean P. Blue Dog get hot later in the game as they push across nine runs in the fourth and fifth inning. Mark McCouch had an RBI triple and Gers had an RBI double to help pace the scoring. Poore helps to get them back for Demons with a solo bomb and Bryan Peterman had an RBI double. Katie Wiley also stayed hot for the Demons and had a two run single. Demons need three runs in the bottom of the seventh to walk off start the comeback with a Mancini RBI double. The next batter Elmore walks this one off with a two run homer and Demons pull this one off late. Demons win 20-19.

Game #3 – LA Pools vs. Dug Out Demons

Pools come out and get three in the first, with back to back RBI singles from Mike Cianfichi and Brian Steeber as well as a Peter Naticchione sac fly. Demons answer immediately with three runs started out by a Poore RBI single. Pools grab the lead in the second with a Darcy Rabenda RBI single and head to the third with the lead. Sac fly’s from both Poore and Sevitsky in the third give Demons in the lead. Demnons bat around in the fourth and push ten runs across. Sean P started it with a RBI double, followed by a Hackney two run double, Mancini RBI single, and Black RBI single. Demons continue to hit well getting more runs on RBI singles from Poore, Sevitsky and Tuscano as they continue to handle Pools in this one. Pools try to fight back, but keep stalling. Demons would keep on the pressure in this one and handle the Pools easily. Demons win 19-4.

Game #4 –Andy’s vs. Sons of Pitches

Both teams start this one off with two runs as Andy’s get RBI’s from Ron Pulli and Warren Grant. Pitches get RBI’s from Carl Motts and Kevin Fink. Defense shuts down the next two innings as neither team can push any runs across and the gold glove plays are coming up from both sides. Jay Cybok breaks the tie for Andy’s with a RBI single in the fourth. Again defense shuts down the fifth as we continue to play in a low scoring game. Runs continue to be a premium and Ron Pulli nets Andy’s one more with a hit in the sixth. Andy’s finally break this one open scoring 11 runs in the seventh. Jason Pane, Kelly Neill and Kris Smedley had RBI singles to start the scoring and that is followed by an Adam Lightkep two run triple, Chase Luxton RBI double and Pulli RBI triple. Pitches continue to get shut down at the plate and fall in this one. Andy’s win 15-2.
