Game #1 – New Age vs. Blue Dog

New Age gets on the board first with a three run bomb into the night sky from Jim Kennedy. Blue Dog answers in the bottom of the inning with one run of their own on a Dave Gers solo shot. New Age gets right back to work in the second as they want to keep the pedal to the floor this time grabbing five runs and opening this up to a 9-1 game. Matt Laird had a RBI single to get the scoring started and Kennedy went deep again with another three run bomb. Blue Dog again comes back with one run on a Paul Hensler RBI single. After New Age tacks on two more in the top of the fourth, the Blue Dog bats finally come alive. Mark McCouch starts it with a RBI single followed by a sac fly from Gers and two run triple from John Rodriguez. Kennedy strikes again for New Age in the sixth with his third homer of the night, again a three run shot to make this a 16-8 game. Gers quickly matches that homer with a three run of his own and cuts into the lead. Gers grabs another homer in the seventh, but Blue Dog will fall short In this one. New Age wins 16-14

Game #2 – Wackers vs. Bry-Lex

Game two starts off with a solo home run from Doug Moninghoff in the bottom of the first. Wackers answer in the second with four runs of their own on a couple errors and a Laura Albertson RBI single. Bry Lex also get four runs in the inning with an RBI single from Lowell Snyder and three run bomb from Bryce Bundy. RBI singles help pace the Wackers in the second getting four from Mike Kelly, Gene Schwendeman, Dave Santerian and Angela Georgiadis. Bry Lex answers back in the fifth grabbing four runs. Cody Miller and Shawn Pfleger booked the damage each smashing a two run double. Wackers hold a one run lead as we head to the sixth inning. Neither team scores in the sixth sending us to the final frame. Bry Lex comes to life and takes the lead on a Moninghoff two run single. After a Colin Donohoe single, CoDizzle delivers a hammer knockout with a two run single to end this game in walkoff fashion. Bry Lex wins 14-13.

Game#3 – Sons of Pitches vs. LA Pools

The final game of the night gets started with each team scoring three runs. Pitches got it on a Jesse Kuiper RBI double and Dad Motts two run bomb and Pools got it on some walks, fielder’s choice and a Mike Cianfichi RBI single. Pitches grab the lead in the second on a Kevin Fink RBI double. Neither team scores until Pitches explode in the fourth. Justin Ruth started it with a RBI single and followed by a Fink two run single. The final blow of the inning was a Dan Geiger bomb into the woods giving them seven runs in total in the inning. Pools get another run in the fourth from a Greg Lavin RBI single, but runs continue to be hard to come by for them. Pitches keep their hot bats going as they push nine runs across in the sixth and pull away. Jon Motts had a big two run double and Jill Beck had a bases clearing triple to go along with RBI singles from Motts, Hinchcliff, and Ruth. Pitches win 20-4
