Game #1 – Andy’s vs. Dugout Demons


Andy’s comes out strong with three runs in the first. Ron Pulli starts the scoring with a two run double and a couple batters later Jason Ashworth smacks a RBI single. Neither team scores until the third, when Demons put up two runs on a Nick Mancini RBI single. Defense has really controlled the game so far in this one. Andy’s get another run in the fourth from an Ian Cuozzo RBI single. Both teams score in the fifth with Andy’s netting two and Demons one as Andy’s continue to lead this game 6-3 after five innings. Andy’s come alive in the sixth pushing across three runs and tying the game. Katie Shallcross had an RBI single and Sean P had a two run double. Andy’s go down without any runs in the top of the seventh which sends us to the bottom of the inning with Demons needing one. Alex Elmore gets its started with a double setting up the game winning RBI single from Jenn Sevitski. Demons win 7-6.

Game #2 – Carroll’s vs. Sharks

Carroll’s come out strong out of the gate with four runs in the first. Bryant Bart and Bill Shipe smack RBI singles and Krysten Marinelli has a two run single in the inning. Sharks cut that in half and get two runs in the inning. Ed Doyle and Tom Finn both had RBI doubles in the inning. Both teams play small ball in the second and the third innings. Sharks take the lead in the fifth when they send 11 batters to the plate and push five runs across. Tom McCarthy and Steve Reichling had RBI singles and Mark Danuski had a two run double. In the end, Shark’s take a 9-7 lead. This was short lived as Carrolls get three runs in the sixth and take the lead back. Bob McClintok had a two run double to take the lead and Kelly Gallagher also pushed a run across on a hit of her own. McCarthy stays hot and smashes a RBI single in the bottom of the inning to take the lead back for Sharks. Back and forth we go, this time Kyle Gallagher pushing Carroll’s back in the lead with a two run single of his own. Again this was short lived as Karen Krall ties the game with a RBI single and Glenn Hipple wins it with a walk off RBI single. Sharks win 13-12.

Game#3 – Carroll’s vs. Garges Gang

Carroll’s come out of the gate strong in this one as they get six runs in the first after their devasting loss in their first game. Gallagher, Bart and Shipe get the party started with RBI singles and Ziets had a two run double. Garges get two back on a Corey Kleinschmidt two run single. Shipe continues to hit well for Carroll’s in the third with a two run homer and in the fourth Carroll’s grab four more runs after a couple of hits and then some poor defense. After four Carroll’s lead 15-3. Carroll’s really pull away in the sixth as they bat around and put up another nine runs pushing their lead up to 24-3. Bart had a big two run triple and Shipe, McClintok and Lesher have RBI’s in the inning. Carroll’s win 24-3.

Game #4 –Garges Gang vs. Roo’s

Keith B starts this one off strong for Garges with a RBI double followed by a grand slam from Joe D later in the inning which helps them jump out to a 5-0 lead early. Roos answer back getting four runs off a Dave Cunningham and Steph Farrar RBI single and Corine Stefankwiz RBI double. Roos get four more in the second from a Tom Montvydas home run and two run single again from Stefankwiz. Garges explode for seven runs in the third and break back into this game. Michele E, Bill W and Bob G have RBI singles and later in the inning, Tom Egitto gets an RBI single and Ryan G a two run triple. Gary Ehly gets a two run single for Roo’s in the fifth to make this a tie game. Gary K gives Garges the lead with a two run triple and Garges gets four runs across the sixth. Roo’s match all that with four runs of their own in the sixth with three of them coming from a Cunningham three run bomb. This game would end in a tie due to time limit.
