Game #1 – Sharks vs. LA Pools

This game was dominated early and often by Shark’s. Pools went scoreless for the first three innings and alone from having an eight run inning in the fourth, they couldn’t get anything going in the game. Mike Cianfichi was a lone bright spot for Pools going 3/4 with a double and an RBI. Sharks got a full effort in this one sending 21 run through. Ed Doyle had a solo home run in the third and Mark Danowski smashed a triple later in the game, but this game was headlined by RBI singles for the entire team. Sharks win 21-8 and win this one.

Player of the Game:
Tom McCarthy (Sharks) – 3/4, 2B, RBI


Game #2 – Sons of Pitches vs. New Age

The second game brought more of the same from the first game as New Age continued to struggle at the plate. After getting two runs early in the game, they could only manage another two runs over the next seven innings. Coty Thomas had a two run double and Bill Hood had a two run bomb as this accounted for all of their runs tonight. Pitches had some better luck as they were able to score 15 and win this game easily. Danny Hinchcliff had a big day going 3/4 with a two run homer run and a couple of RBI singles. Kaclyn Motts also helped to contribute big today with three RBI’s of her own. Pitches win this final game of the season big and look to continue their success into the playoffs. Pitches win 15-4.

Game #3 – Carroll’s vs. Sons of Pitches

The third game of the night brought fireworks as we saw a back and forth game that had many timely hits and defensive plays. Carrolls got five in the top of the first and Pitches had six in the bottom of the first. Bryan Bart had the big hit for Carrolls with a bases clearing double as Pitches used small ball and RBI singles from Hinchcliff, Jon Duchette, Motts and Justin Ruth. Both teams also scored one in the second as we continue to play a one run game. Pitches get two runs in the fourth from a Jon Motts bomb as they take the lead going deep in the game. Carrolls have a big rally inning and put together a four run inning and take a one run lead. Bill Shipe had a two run single and Bob McClintock added an RBI triple in the inning. Pitches can’t get anything in the next inning and this one ends early due to time. Carrolls win 10-9.
