Game 1: Team Horsham v. Cales Pale Ales

Nothing to chat about here, Team Horsham victorious via forfeit.

Game 2: Dinger v. Mike’s Bar & Grill

Mike Casbar had himself another great offensive night as he tripled twice in the game to go along with 2 walks and scoring FIVE times. He also drove in 3. Chris Manion scored twice and doubled. Dingers, while not hitting any dingers in this game, plate 23 runs.

Mike’s had themselves a long line up batting 15 men for the game. Each man did have 3 plate appearances and Brad Misalick made the most of them. He tripled, doubled and walked (in that order) while scoring all 3 times and driving in a run. Kyle Saba went 3-3 with 2 singles and a double. He also drive in 2 & scored 2 times. Mike’s score 13, but lose by nearly as many.

Game 3: HG Coal Fried Pizza v. Mike’s Bar & Grill

CFP had to take advantage of sub-par defense early on to get some runs on the board. Brendan Parker singled home 2 runs in the 4th and Jay Stein quickly followed with an rbi triple. In the 6th, Jay Stein looked to have added insurance runs for CFP when he hit a 3-run homer and building a 9-5 lead.

Mike’s also squeaked a handful of runs due to equally sub-par defense…but in the 6th they got to work. With Joe T leading off the 6th with a single, The next 5 men reached base safely with Matt McReynolds getting the inning’s big hit…a 2-run single. Corey E later added an rbi single of his own helping Mike’s push 7 across in the frame. This would prove to be enough as Mike’s saves a twin bill sweep with a 12-9 victory.

Game 4: Vertex v. Beers

Beers got themselves some nice production from the bottom half of the lineup. Connor MacFarlane out of the 7 hole went 3-4 with 2 triples, 2 rbi & 2 runs scored. Ryan Whiteley added two more runs and 2 rbi. Beers had built themselves an 11-10 lead going into the late innings.

Vertex had a nice inning in the 2nd highlighted by Russell Miller’s 2-run single and Justin Miller’s 2-run triple. Pushing 6 across in the 2nd, Mat Crowell tripled and scored in the 4th and Justin again scored in the 5th. Trailing at this point by 1, Russell would lead off the 7th with a walk and a rally started. Mike Bitterlich took full advantage and lifted a ball over the Quarry fence for a 3-run shot. That capped the 5 run late rally and eventually give the game to Vertex…15-12. Mike’s homer would prove to be the difference.
