Game One: Philly Junk v. Vertex

Took 9 innings to determine the winner of this game. Mike Bitterlich homered in the first inning for Philly to plate 2 while Vertex pushed across 3 in the 2nd with rbi hits from Keith Crowell, Frank Staber and Tom Egitto. Philly took advantage of some free passes and defensive miscues to plate 3 more in the 4th with Dave DeStaphanis & Matt Schaub both singled home 2. Vertex had the 8 to 6 lead late but allowed Shane Hanna and KC Ingram to both drive in runs. In the 8th, Mike Testa drove in one for Philly while Vertex scored one thanks to a Philly error. Philly with 2 more in the 9th and since Vertex could only managed one in the 9th, a fly out to left with 2 men on board would give the game to Philly 11-10.

Game Two: Dingers v. Team Horsham

Dingers with 9 men on the field defensively but did not affect them on offense. Scoring 8 runs through the first 4 innings highlighted by Chad Toner & Dave Demko both driving in 2. Chad drove in two more in the 5th, this time with a 2-run blast and Brandon Walker then doubled home 2 more in the 5th inning. At this point, Dingers had pushed 18 men across to score.

But Team Horsham did much better offensively. Zack Predergast with a 4-5 night that included a triple and THREE home runs. Zach finished with 6 RBI and 4 runs scored. Brett Saverio also homered as would Dan Lineberger. While Dingers scored 18, Team Horsham scored 33 times and took the game via mercy rule.

Game Three: Mike’s Bar & Grill v. Beers

Mike’s got going quickly with 5 in the first with Tony Stuart singling home 2. Kyle Saba cleared the bags with a triple in the 2nd and Dave Shannon finished the night 4-4…scoring 4 times. Mike’s finished with 10.

Beers got huge production from Ryan Maley. He finished the night 4-4 with a triple short of the cycle; hitting two homers. A grand slam in the 2nd and a 2-run shot in the 4th. Ryan finished with 7 rbi. Production from top to bottom in the line up led to 18 runs scored and Beers are your winner.

Game Four: HG Coal Fire Pizza

For HG, ZERO runs on FIVE hits. Ouch!
For Ballz Deep, FIFTEEN runs on SEVENTEEN hits. Jarrett Kerns with 3 XBH, Jason Falcon with a 3-run homer, Matt Bookheimer doubling home 2 in the 3rd…easy game for BD.
