Beers went nuts on offense with 28 runs total for the game. Scott Runzer had himself a night with three hits including two home runs and 5 rbi. A 13-run 5th inning sealed the game for them.
Dingers did not do much dinging. Mike Casber drove in 2 of the team’s 5 runs in the midst of a 4-run 3rd inning. Dingers lose big, by 23.
Same story here. Andrew Parker smashed a 3-run shot in the first inning and the team managed 4 more runs the rest of the way largely in part by some Philly errors.
Philly on the other hand brought the wood. Mike Bitterlich with 4 hits which included 2 home runs, 4 runs scored 7 rbi. Mike equaled the opponent run total on his own. Home runs by Shane Hanna and Brandon Birkhead added to the lead as Philly won big, 26-7.
Tied at 7 going into the 5th, rbi’s by CJ Snyder, Keith Crowell and Dave DeStephanis gave Vertex the lead to hold. Zach Martin finished with 3 hits as did Keith and Ton Egitto.
Jarret Kerns with 3 hits for BD, but after scoring 6 through the first 3 innings, they managed just 1 more the rest of the way. Good playoff matchup preview…Vertex takes the game 10-7.
For Mike’s – 2 runs on 9 hits. Dave Shannon with the triple and an rbi…but unfortunately not much to write about.
Horsham with BIG production from Grant Opalisky – 2 run scored, 3 rbi and 2 hits. Zach Prendergast with 4 hits including 2 doubles and a home run and Dan Lineberger with a perfect 3-3 with a run scored and 3 rbi. Horsham HUGE winners, 22-2.
