Post by latincontrol »

Game One: Vertex v. Mike’s

Nick Perez had himself a nice game with a 3-4 effort which saw him come just a home run short of the cycle. He also scored once and drove in 4 runs. Mike’s finished with 7 for the game.

Vertex needed just the 2nd inning of the game as they batted around and scored 8 times. Tom Rider had the inning’s big knock with a 2-run single. Matt Crowell and Tom Eggito both finished with 3 rbi. Vertext won easily 19-7.

Game Two: Toto/Kiefer v. Horsham

Back-to-back home runs from B and C Saverio led to 4 3rd inning runs as V Severino finished the game scoring 3 times. C Saverio came just a double short of the cycle.

As in the first game, Toto/Kiefer squad needed just the 2nd inning to win this one. Batting around in the inning Ryan Goodman’s 2-run single capped a 9-run inning. Jonny Poore finished 4-4 with 3 doubles and a triple. Kiefer/Toto crew win easy 17-8.

Game Three: Just Food v. Slurricanes

Just Foods came out the gate swinging with 7 runs in the first. Mike Casbar’s 2-run triple the bit hit. But they scored just 3 more times the rest of the way.

Slurricanes spread their offense out. Sean Valenza seemed to be in the middle of each rally with a 2-run homer in the first, and rbi single in the 3rd and another 2-run bomb in the 4th. Slurricanes went on to score 14 and take the game 14-10.

Game Four: Sons of Pitches v. Beers

Let’s just say this game was over when it started. Blasé Contino singled and scored in the first and after Brian Hilbert reached on an error, he scored on Jeremy Adams’ double. That’s it though. One hit the rest of the game.

Beers went on to score 11 in the first, 6 in the 2nd and 8 in the 3rd to finish with 25 runs scored. Ryan Calabro with a 2-run homer in the 1st & Matt Kane with a 3-run bomb in the 2nd. Very easy winners, 25-2.
