Game 1: Beers v. Toto/Kiefer

Toto/Kiefer looked to continue their dominance through the Tuesday night league but would enter this game playing short handed against an aggressive young Beers team. Jon Poore smashed a 2-run bomb in the 1st inning to help push an early 4 runs across the plate. Brian Penecale then smashed a solo shot in the 2nd, CJ Snyder smashed a 3-run bomb in the 5th and Jay Cybok singled home a run in the 6th helping to plate 15 runs.

For Beers, Ryan Maley had himself a night going 5-5 with a double, 3 triples, a home run, 5 runs scored and 5 rbi. Josh Goldberg drove in 6 runs of his own and Alex Goldberg was 3-4 with 3 rbi. Beers went on to score 21 times and take the game from Toto/Kiefer squad.


Game 2: Slurricanes v. Vertex

Slurricanes came out of the gate strong with 5 runs in their first at bat. Jean Bowler, Kyle Lockard, Tyler Forrest, Chris Keeler and Brandon Achenbach all scored. BUT, only Jean Bowler would get a hit the rest of the way, a 5th inning single.

Vertex on the other hand, exploded. Sean Nonemacher tripled and scored in the first, Chris Beatty triple home a run in the 2nd and Keith Crowell doubled home a run in the 2nd. In the third, Justin Miller tripled home a run, CJ Snyder smashed a 2-run shot, Justin stayed hot with a 3-run bomb in the 4th and Frank Staber got himself a grand slam in the 4th inning, part of a 12-run explosion. Vertex took the game handedly, 20-5.


Game 3: Pitches Be Crazy v. Team Horsham

Alex Jacobine had a 2-3 night with a single, and a bases-clearing triple in the 7th. Brain Hughes tripled twice (2nd and 4th innings) while driving in 3 and scoring twice. PBC scored 13 for the game.

Team Horsham got a 3-4 night from Casey Savero which included 3 triples, 2 runs scored and 6 rbi. Mike Harmon went 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 rbi. Horsham had a nice 5th inning plating 9 men and scoring 16 for the game. They squeeked by Pitches Be Crazy, by 3.


Game 4: Mike’s Bar & Grill v. Just Food

Final game of the night was a thriller. The top four hitters from Mikes had a combined 12-17 night including 3 walks. Eddie Haddle was 3-3 with 2 walks and 5 runs scored. J. Biondo scored 4 times at the lead-off spot. These same four men scored 14 of the teams 15 runs for the game.

As it was with their opponent, the top 4 hitters of Just Food took care of business going a combined 14-20. M. Casbar with the big night --- 5-5, 2 singles, double, triple and a 3-run home run, hitting for the cycle. A. Casselli smashed a 2-run shot in the 5th. Just Foods entered the 7th trailing 15-13. A Caselli with the walk off job, smashing a 2-run double and stealing the game, 16-15.
