Game 1: Chico's vs Mayhem

Choco's started the fall season of right after scoring 9 runs across the first 2 innings of play. It included extra base hits by Kevin Shinkunas, Brian Bart, Chris Osmain and Scott Johnston. Although Mayhem started a bit slower they did have the lead by the end of the 3rd, scoring 10 runs of their own. Jeff Hess had 2 triples and a double in the first 3 innings. Chico's regained the lead after a 4-run 4th inning that included another Kevin Shinkunas extra base hit. Mayhem tied the game back up with 3 runs in the bottom of the frame led by XBHs from Jason Kamienski and CJ Kirby. After Chico's took a 1-run lead Jeff Hess showed up on a majestic steed to help save the day. Jeff, who missed the start of the game, was subbed in and hit a towering solo shot to tie the game up at 14 after the 5th. Mayhem added 2 more in the 6th and shut down Chico's in the 7th for the 16-14 win.

Game 2: Philly Junk vs TGIF

This game was in hand for Philly Junk pretty early. A 10-run top for the 1st will do that for you. Doubles by newcomer Justin Miller and 30-year vet Tom Rider led the way. Before TGIF had a chance to settle in they were down 13-0. They got 5 runs across the 3rd and 4th innings but that would be it on this night. Philly Junk added 8 more, including a 3-run dinger by K.C. Ingram, before it was all over. Philly Junk throttles TGIF, 21-5.

Game 3: Philly Junk vs Throwdown

New game but more of the same for Philly Junk. While they didn't start as quickly they did hop out to an 8-2 lead through 3 innings. 5 more runs for Philly Junk in the 4th really put this one out of reach for Throwdown but they had to finish the game. Throwdown got 1 back in the bottom of the 4th and another in the 5th, this time off of a Stephanie Ferrar triple, but it would be all she wrote. Philly Junk added 6 more in the 6th which included a K.C. Ingram 3-run tater. Philly Junk takes this one by a final of 19-4. When Ryan Russell was asked about Justin Miller batting lead-off ahead of him he said, "Who?"
