Post by MikeY »

Game 1: Yum Yum Bakery (1-0) at Sex Panthers (1-0)
Panthers get this one started in the bottom of the 1st, plating 4 runs on four hits, two errors and a groundout. They'd tack on 3 more in the 2nd on two singles, a sac fly and two more singles. Yum Yum would get 1 back in the top of the 3rd on a single, an error and an RBI single to make the score 7-1. They'd add 2 more in the 4th on a single and a 2-run HR by Sean Cunningham. Panthers would see those two and raise them two more, plating 4 runs on a single, an error, a single, two RBI groundouts and three more singles to make the score 11-3. Yum Yum would get 1 in the 6th but Panthers would open it up with 6 in the bottom half on eight straight hits to start the inning and would end up taking this one by the score of 17-7.

Player of the game: Trevor Gouge (Panthers) - 5/5 (5 1B) 3 R, RBI

Game 2: Vertex Pest Management (1-0) at The Commission (1-0)
The Commission comes out on fire in the bottom of the 1st. A leadoff flyout followed by five straight hits, a walk, two more singles, a groundout, a triple and a single gives them a quick 9-0 lead. Vertex answers with 3 in the 2nd on a leadoff walk, two singles, a sac fly and two more singles. The Commission gets 1 back in the bottom half and then explodes again in the bottom of the 3rd. Four singles to open the inning, followed by a 3-run HR by Nick Wasekanes followed by a single, a walk, two more singles, a walk and a sac fly for a 10-spot and a 20-3 lead. Vertex make it interesting in the top of the 4th, running 6 men across the plate but The Commission would not be stopped. They'd singles their ay through their 12 man line up, plating 9 runs in the bottom of the 4th and taking this one via a run rule 29-9.

Player of the game: Nick Wasekanes (Commission) - 3/3 (1B, 2B, HR) 2 R, 4 RBI

Game 3: Outback Steakhouse (0-1) at Mayhem (1-1)
Outback bats around in the top of the 1st...single, error, two singles, two doubles, a walk, another error, a sac fly and two singles sees them run 8 runs on the board. Mayhem gets 1 back in the bottom half via an error and two groundouts. Outback gets a solo HR from Schi Berk in the 2nd and Mayhem gets 2 in the bottom of the 3rd on four singles. Outback gets 2 more in the top of the 4th on a single, groundout, walk and 2 RBI triple. Mayhem leads off the bottom half with a solo HR by Mike Bitterlich and then adds 4 more on singles to cut their deficit to 11-7. Outback gets 4 in the top of the 5th on singles and walks but Mayhem keeps it close, plating 3 in the bottom half via a single, a double, a sac fly, an error and an RBI single. They'd hold Outback in the top of the 6th and tack on 4 more in the bottom half via singles and errors to cut their deficit to 1 run. Outback adds 2 to their lead in the top of the 7th on four hits to take a 17-14 lead. Mayhem gets a 2-run HR by KC Ingram
and then an error puts the tying run on base...three singles later, Mayhem has the walk-off win 18-17.

Player of the game: Schi Berk (Outback) - 4/5 (2 1B, 2B, HR) 3 R, 2 RBI

Game 4: Outback Steakhouse (0-2) at Irish Car Bombs (0-1)
Outback gets a leadoff triple followed by a single and a 2-run HR by Greg Moylan and then a single and 2 errors to give them a 4-0 lead. ICB matches those 4 with singles and groundouts to tie the game. ICB then would take the lead in the 2nd on two singles, an error and a 2 RBI triple. Outback gets 1 back in the top of the 3rd on three singles but then ICB answers with 3 more in the bottom half. Outback gets 1 back in the 4th and then holds ICB in the bottom half to keep the score at 10-6. Outback takes the lead in the top of the 5th, scoring 6 runs on a single, an error, single, groundout and four more hits to take a 12-10 lead. ICB gets 1 back via an error and singles. Outback gets 3 more in the top of the 6th via two doubles and a sac fly to take a 15-11 lead. ICB comes back with 3 in the bottom half on a single, an RBI double and a 2-run HR by Tim Hightower (Isn't that the guy who used to play RB for the Saints?) to cut ICB's deficit to 1 run. Outback gets a solo HR from Keith Keppley in the top of the 7th to extend their lead to two. ICB gets a leadoff man on, singles him in, gets 2 more singles to tie the game, but then Rob McKenna strikes out with the winning run on 3rd to end the game in a 16-16 tie.

Player of the game: Drew Breischeft (ICB) - 3/5 (1B, 2B, 3B) 1 R, 2 RBI
