In the eyes of the ASA (Amateur Softball Association), which is extremely protective of its officials, threatening an official is a very serious offense and punishable by as much as 5 years worth of suspension in any and all ASA affiliated leagues and tournaments.
Effective today, Glen Hipple has been issued a 6-game suspension for threatening a league umpire. Glen is eligible to return to action on Sunday, May 15, 2011.
