A formal protest was lodged last night against the Sticky Bandits (Wednesday Coed) for failure to abide by the all-star/eddie rule.

All-Star/Eddie Rule
Any coed team batting line-up containing more than 4 all-stars shall abide by the all-star/eddie rule and must at all times maintain a batting line-up that contains at least an equal number of eddies. A team with a batting line-up containing 4 or less all-stars will abide by regular coed rules. If, at any time during the regular season, by any member of Softball America, a team using 5 all-stars is found to be in default of the all-star/eddie rule, that team will forfeit all games in which the infraction occurred. All-stars are determined by the league and shall be adjusted yearly.

Sticky Bandits (Wednesday Coed) batted 5 all-stars and only 4 eddies on 08/23/17 in a game against the Titans. The Sticky Bandits win will turn into a loss. Individual stats will remain as is.

KC Ingram (Philly Junk, Sunday Coed) has been issued a mandatory 1-game suspension as a result of a game ejection on 09/17/17 for unsportsmanlike conduct. This suspension is effective immediately. Suspended players are prohibited from attending the game or being on the ball field grounds.

With the consent of the Sunday Coed umpire, KC Ingram's 1-game suspension has been rescinded. KC is cleared to play Sunday.

Dan Owens (Holding Hands With Hookers, Sunday Men's) has been issued a mandatory 1-game suspension as a result of a game ejection on 05/06/18 for unsportsmanlike conduct. An additional 1-game suspension has been issued for blatant disrespect toward the game umpire. This 2-game suspension is effective immediately. Suspended players are prohibited from attending the game or being on the ball field grounds.

Effective for the 2015 softball season and beyond, the penalty for managers who use a non-roster sub under the name of a roster sub will increase from a 2-game suspension to 3 games. Additionally, the non-roster sub who participates in the ruse will receive the same 3-game suspension. Softball America shall reserve the right to apply the game suspensions to other leagues if the situation warrants, i.e. the participating non-roster sub is not a member of the league in which the infraction took place.

Manager Nicholas Todd (Yankee Clippers, Sunday Men's) has been issued a mandatory 3-game suspension for using a non-roster player under false pretenses (under the name of a roster player) in a game on Sunday, May 06, 2018. When the illegal player was discovered, he was immediately ejected from the game leaving the team with only 7 players and a forfeit loss.

Justin Glennon (Ballz Deep, Friday Coed) has been issued a mandatory 1-game suspension as a result of a game ejection on 05/1/18 for throwing his bat. This suspension is effective immediately. Suspended players are prohibited from attending the game or being on the ball field grounds.

Jamison Pour House (Thursday Men's) batted 8 all-stars on 06/07/18 in their win vs. Mayhem. The Jamison Pour House will turn into a double loss. Mayhem's loss will become a win. Individual stats will remain as is.

Rob Manus (Callahan Auto, Thursday Men's) has been issued a mandatory 1 game suspension as a result of a game ejection on 06/08/18 for arguing balls and strikes. This suspension is effective immediately. Suspended players are prohibited from attending the game or being on the ball field grounds.

Jake Wade (Callahan Auto, Thursday Men's) has been issued a mandatory 1 game suspension as a result of a game ejection on 07/26/18 for unsportsmanlike conduct. This suspension is effective immediately. Suspended players are prohibited from attending the game or being on the ball field grounds.

Umpire Dave Walsh has been suspended indefinitely from the Friday Coed league for conduct detrimental to the league.
